As a girl who was obsessed with the movie Big Fish, this was the coolest thing ever! It cost $5 per person for the day to come on to the island, they also have camping! Getting there is so easy and you can EASILY spend hours here. Plenty of spots to fish and kayak. Nice bathroom/ shower house. Don't forget some snacks for the friendly free roaming goats! They will come check you out and they are hungry! The set from the small town of Spectre from the film big fish still stands and makes for a great photo opt! The whole island is gorgeous and there are so many picnic tables and swings to sit and enjoy the views and wildlife!

A beautiful private island park ran by a really nice family. The park is well maintained and very picturesque. Camping and fishing are both allowed. Fees for day use and overnight camping. Jackson Island was used as a location site for the film Big Fish. The lot used for the filming is still there and you can walk down the main street of the fictional town of Spectre. There is also a herd of friendly goats living on the island. Really a great place to spend an afternoon or weekend. Highly recommended!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5+ ✅ They are open 7 days a week. During daylight time! Make sure to check this place out, even on weekdays! Did you know "Big Fish" was filmed here? The entrance fee is only $6 per person, which is quite reasonable. The location also has an RV park. My husband and I visited on our motorcycle, and it was pleasantly quiet over the weekend, which is why we chose to 90. The road transitions to a dirt path, so if you're a new rider, it's best to park your bike and ride along with someone else. You can explore the entire island on two wheels! There are swings by the water, picnic tables, and fishing spots (just don't forget your fishing license). Take a leisurely stroll around the island's buildings and paths, and remember to tie your shoelaces and toss them on the line, just like in the movie. It's definitely worth a visit, whether you're passing through or planning to stay in your RV. On weekends, food trucks come in, so consider bringing a packed lunch. As of the years go by and the number of buildings decreases once in a while, we still have a wonderful time every visit. I love introducing my friends to the town by watching big Fish the movie first, and it never fails to entertain everyone. We are so very lucky to havethis interesting place to visit right in our backyard.

Absolutely loved it. The goat are super friendly. It was great to check out the movie set. Would have loved to go fishing or kayaking there and also camp there. $5 entry for adults.
