A great place for everyone, especially for families. You can pet and feed the reindeer, and the guide will tell you everything about these wonderful animals. Just don’t touch their antlers, as it can really hurt them.

I may be biased because I love to interact with animals but this 30 minute or so tour was so worth it. It was just me who went, no kids, so even if you’re an adult you would probably still enjoy this. I loved this so much that if I had not arrived for their last tour of the day I would have done it twice. You get to touch the reindeer and even get to touch their velvety antlers with the back of your hand (if it’s the right season). I went in June and their antlers were huge! I personally think it is worth making the trip out from Fairbanks to come see them, if I had kids that were like 6 years old I would probably come from Denali National Park just to come them the reindeer. Like I said I really like animals but I do think this activity was well worth it and fun.

These reviews are filled with people acting like they know what they’re talking about. These reindeer are in a TEMPORARY SUMMER ENCLOSURE. They are fed very well! It blows my mind that some of these reviewers can’t use their brain and TALK to the employees about the reindeer and their enclosures during the summer. These Reindeer are happy, healthy, and extremely well-cared for. You pay $8 for 8 cups of food to feed them, that is absolutely acceptable! Ignore the ignorant one-star reviews, talk to the employees yourself!

such an unique experience! my fiancé and i walked up and bought tickets and gained access within 20 minutes! no wait, no one else was inside either besides staff. the staff are a huge part of the amazing experience as they’re fun, relatable, knowledgeable, and creative. we got to go to both enclosures and feed multiple cups of food to the reindeer. don’t be scared to push through- they’re like big dogs! we were also allowed to pet the reindeer (no antlers though) and they were sooo soft! the staff had loose antlers for us to pet and hold before entering as well which was cool. i loved this place and will definitely be back when we visit AK again.
