This was our first time to Tombstone, AZ and we have lived in AZ for over 30+ years. We are finally getting around to exploring the South. The weather was a bit chilly and nippy so I advise checking the weather before arriving. Wearing proper shoes helps a ton too because you will be walking on gravel, rocks, and dirt. Warning about the restrooms ... they have port-a-potty stations only with no handwashing areas so be prepared to have wet wipes or hand sanitizer to clean your hands. The gift shop charges $2 for credit card purchases so bring cash if you like buying from gift shops. They do offer water for $2 or bring your own. We enjoyed the tour and our tour guide was full of information. When you tour the mine you will be using steps down and up, he mentioned about 60 steps both ways. They have a lot to see on the grounds and they had farm animals there to see and not sure about petting them. We did the combination tour and did the trolley tour. Enjoy Tombstone.

I have been to tombstone before but never went on this tour. George was our guide and this man knows this cave. He is a gives a great presentation. Unlike walking into a state park tour, he just tells you a few rules and then gets on with it. Don’t miss this one. It’s a great tour of an old silver mine. The tour is rich on info for how tombstone came to be. A lot of info on your journey underground. There was a lot to learn from this tour. Try to make time for this walk. It’s only a little over 100 feet down and it an easy walk. You will enjoy this one.

We had an outstanding guided tour into the old mine. Our tour guide Abbie was enthusiastic and entertaining. It was a unique opportunity to go down into a real hard rock silver mine. Educational and interesting. Great history and mining economics lesson!

We went on the Good Enough Mine Tour and Dinner Theater. It was amazing. A detailed, intimate tour with dinner down in the mine while you watch a live show about life in Tombstone during the years the mine was being dug. Our guide was very experienced and knowledgeable in geology and taught and showed so many incredible rock formations underground. He did a great job helping those without a science background understand and appreciate the raw beauty, wonder and formation of the rock face the mine is created out of. The path of the tour is not overly physical or long; however it is not a tour for people with limited mobility. You go deep underground over uneven terrain, must climb and descend stairs and use a ladder. Wear sturdy shoes with good tread. We highly recommend the dinner mine tour.

This is such a worth while tour! Our tour guide was Buck, super fun guy whose willing to answer any and all questions with the patience of a saint. He was very knowledgeable on the mine, but everybody on the site was. It's an amazing tour where you learn a lot and have a first hand experience in the darkness the miners worked in. There were small farm animals outside the mine, a museum and gift shop, and just a really relaxed fun vibe. We enjoyed talking with everyone working there.

We had heard about this dinner tour on our first visit to Tombstone and made a point to come back for it. Robert, our host for the evening, started out with an excellent tour of the Toughnut mine, showing us different key minerals and mining artifacts along the way and giving us the history of how the mines played a key role in the early history of Tombstone. The route through the mine is not difficult (as long as you watch your head in a few places). If you can hike on a rocky trail, you will do fine in the mine. Dinner 100 feet down in the mine is a unique experience and the re-enacted personal stories of some of Tombstone's residents during the meal adds more historic perspective to the character of this part of southern Arizona in the early days. Not to be missed if you are in the area.
