This was the first town my friend told me to check out along my travel route, and I’m glad I did. This town is pretty cool and has a lot of history. Sadly, many of the buildings burned down, and only one or two still stand today. Even so, it’s a great experience to walk around, browse the trinket shops, visit the saloons and museums, and soak in the atmosphere. There really isn’t much to see besides experiencing what this historic town was once like, but it’s definitely worth the stop

Tombstone is the wild, wild west where cowboys, cowgirls and horses roam. Very interesting. There are shows, the oldest, biggest rose bush lives there, great places to eat, and shops to browse in! A day in Tombstone is a must, especially if you've never been.

If you’ve ever wondered what would happen if a history lesson and a live-action Western had a baby… it’s Tombstone. You’re not just visiting—you’re stepping straight into 1880 with wooden sidewalks, saloons, and staged gunfights that somehow manage to be both ridiculous and completely entertaining. We watched a shootout near the O.K. Corral, and yes… fully grown adults dramatically falling into the dirt is exactly the kind of chaos you didn’t know you needed. Our RV park being basically downtown was wild—like, open the door and you’re immediately part of the scene. Zero transition time. Just vibes and questionable life choices. They offer horse carriage tours for that full Old West feel, and we still managed to do Tombstone correctly: grabbed a beer (and a non-alcoholic one), posted up in a saloon, and followed it up with a full, hearty Western-style lunch like we’d just come in from a long day of… watching other people fake fight. Is it touristy? Absolutely. Is it cheesy? Also yes. Is it fun anyway? 100%. Tombstone leans all the way into what it is—and honestly, that’s why it works. You’re not here for subtlety. You’re here for drama, dust, and the chance to judge a gunfight like a critic. Would I go back? Yes. Would I survive the real Wild West? Not a chance. 😏

Tourist town but fun to walk around and imagine yourself in the old west. We did the O.K. Corral shoot out and shopped some. I’m sad you can’t actually ride horses down the street but I understand why.

You can see Tombstone for just few hours like the old Tombstone, Boothill graveyard,mine, trolley ride, Capitol and some ghost shows. Mine is open @ 10 am some business open 9 am. & ends @ 3 pm so plan ahead w/c one you want to see and do. It’s a small town but more on historic sites. Few shops like antique stores etc. Some businesses provide RR ( toilet) unless you are customers but not all open to the public. But there’s a Public Restroom inside the public park in the hidden corner. Lots to see just 1/2 a day trip.

I tried to watch every Tombstone movie made, and listen to all the TRUE history behind WYATT EARP and DOC HOLLIDAY before I made it here. I knew I had to make it to key locations once at Tombstone: OK Corral, the gunfight recreation, Courthouse, The Birdcage, BigNose Kate's, etc. The weather cooperated with me, sunny and warm. I skipped the stagecoach ride because it was a separate $15 fee. The OK Corral building had ALL the souvenirs I needed. I was very pleased with their selection. The town has a surprising amount of very elderly tourists using wheelchairs and walkers, but families of all ages had a great time.

My wife and I have been wanting to visit Tombstone for a while. We finally made it, we toured all the sights, took the stage coach ride. I recommend taking the stagecoach, the driver narrates the history of Tombstone and points out the important landmarks. Very family friendly and everyone was very nice.
