The Swan Hotel, Arundel

What a gem this place is. The local team work so well together, always friendly and always helpful. My 2 nights were very enjoyable in my 2nd floor Snug Room. As a space for a solo guest it worked perfectly. There was a comfy bed with quality bedding and a modern bathroom with quality fittings. The Dyson fan worked a treat to keep the bedroom comfortable during hot weather. The breakfast is served by a lovely lady, all freshly cooked to order and nicely presented. Dinner is popular with non-residents, so it's advisable to book in advance. There is a good choice on the menu and portions are good and the food tasty. The railway station is a flat walk of 15 minutes, with a taxi office in the forecourt. Buses stop right across from the hotel. Arundel is a beautiful town and in August is alive with the annual music and arts festival. Do NOT miss out on a visit to the castle gardens (£16). At £126 per night B&B, I assume the rate was due to the time of year.

Booked on line for a nights stay with my partner. The pub, restaurant & rooms are gorgeous, full of character & managed with top staff.|Our room was beautiful, spotless & luxury. The roll top bath was perfect & the bed was so comfortable! Breakfast was served by the best waitress, nothing was too much trouble!! We didn’t want to leave & can’t wait to return, one night was not enough!!

This is the best place to eat in Arundel. Always consistently good food, with a seasonal menu which is refreshing. We have been coming here for years. and cannot recommend it highly enough. Excellent setting, fantastic staff, who are professional and friendly. Jazz and her team are wonderful and attentive. Definitely the best roasts in Sussex. All their meals are superb whether you're a vegetarian. pescetarian or a full on meat eater, there is something for everybody. If you can manage it after such a filling and delicious meal, have a look at the dessert menu....

We were a large group and had a lovely table at the back, and were served so well by the waiting staff, who were friendly and helpful. We had very tasty fish and chips and a range of desserts - the food was very good. If you're in the area you should definitely go here for dinner, it's a wonderful place.

I stayed with my family and so we booked two rooms for one night. Rooms were spotlessly clean and facilities good. We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful member of staff, and breakfast delicious. Would stay again.

We stayed in room 14 (Snug double) at short notice for a surprise family event. Unbeknownst to us the racing was on at Goodwood so room availability in the area was scarce. |The room is on the 2nd floor & at the front but apart from an antisocial motorcyclist on Saturday night we heard little noise. The pub closed at 11 ish. |The room was well ventilated & if needed there was a Dyson fan. Nice comfy double bed with good quality bed linen. Accessible plugs for that essential charger by the side of the bed. Bathroom was good size with shower both rainfall head & handheld. Best shower we’ve had for a long time in a hotel! |Nice surprise of slippers & robes if required. Good size towels & nice toiletries. |Good tea/coffee selection in room with bottled water & biscuits. Milk is supplied chilled in a flask from the bar downstairs. |Breakfast was included in the price & cooked to order, also good selection of pastries cereals fruit juice etc. We felt thoroughly spoilt! |Parking is at the rear in public car park we had no issues of finding a space on arrival which was 4pm. We used the Ringo app for payment, but the meters did take card/cash. |Will we be back - Absolutely

A lovely hotel, part of a nice pub in the heart of town. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast and roast dinner were great. Our room and was very small on the 2nd floor with only a small window from which we could see the castle. But there was a fan. We were not disturbed by noise from the pub at all. We got 2 packets of biscuits and a thermos flask of fresh milk each day to make drinks.

Have been there several times for Sunday roast it had been lovely however went in July my friend and I had roast beef i like my beef rare but this was raw also roast potatoes tasted as if they had been warmed up from yesterday I did speak to the waiter about it. When I got home I sent an email to company. Heard nothing back. It a shame .because I recommended so many people. Would have been nice to have a reply from company .then I wouldn't have felt the need to put it on trip adviser.
