Liked: Fantastic ice cream - like genuinely the best I’ve ever tried. Disliked: • not fantastic hosting skills (bloke was nice on the rare interactions) but no one shown us onto the pitch or anything. Elsan/water points. • you can smell the cows • signals dreadful/none existent (not their fault just fact) • no toilet/shower blocks (we were warned in all fairness) • no shelter - most sites have hedge rows or cover. - the focus was definitely on the ice cream side and it shows.

Liked: How busy the site looked at it clearly sells good ice cream Disliked: Sadly we lined up with all the ice cream goers and gave up after 35 minutes of standing there. No ice cream either.. My 2 young girls simply got fed up so we went home.

Liked: The view and the ice cream Disliked: Hardstanding pitches too close together despite large field. They are also next to the car park so on a warm Saturday afternoon it is very noisey and no privacy.

Liked: Back to basics campsite with just water toilet disposal and EHU. Small site surrounded by farmland and open countryside, loved watching the cows passing our van going to be milked each day. The icecream parlour/cafe next door was an added bonus with the BEST icecream! Perfect base for cycling the Tissington trail which we we're there for. No frills, basic country side site perfect for what we needed. Disliked: Yes it did smell a little of the beautiful cows that reside there BUT it's a working farm so nothing more than we expected.

Liked: Beautiful views, the ice cream was fantastic and worth the queue. Disliked: Very basic, some electric hook ups were a bit far from the pitches so you need a long hook up. Water point difficult to use as you can’t connect a standard hose fitting. We booked for 2 nights but the weather was awful so we only stayed for 1 night.

Liked: Loved the ice cream and milkshake from the shop and the walks you could do from the campsite was good. My children in joyed watching the cows being milked and watching them walking to the farm over the fence. Disliked: There was sometimes a smell from the cows in the farm but not enough to stop you from siting outside when weather is good. The campsite is quite high up and is exposed to the winds.
