Humber Bridge Garden Centre

Visited here a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday morning - was visiting a place and this was a stop over. Has a look round the lovely garden centre and then stopped for a coffee and bite to eat. Lovely plenty of parking available. The surroundings for the Restaurant is so versatile, inside, outside or under cover but outside. Everything looked spotless. Restaurant was happy to alter my order slightly without any murmur. The outside area overlooks a lake with plenty of wildlife to view. Looked to be some lovely shops inside the restaurant area unfortunately they weren’t open when I visited as it was quite early in the day, think they (the shops) open at 10am. As a point to note the garden centre and restaurant are in 2 completely separate buildings with a path between them.

This place is a must visit if you are crossing the Humber Bridge as the food is excellent both in portions and quality, and the prices are very reasonable, a small deviation from A15. We’ve been here more than once for breakfast & brunch so the photos cover last 2 visits so you can see the quality. All plates were left empty. Highly recommend

Shared a ploughmans lunch and a bottle of wine....excellent. Staff super friendly and all smiles. Garden center small but perfectly formed. Will come back

Such a beautiful place to enjoy food and drinks. We sat outside - the view is amazing! You overlook a lake with geese and lots of fields. It’s very peaceful and possibly the nicest view I have experienced with a full English breakfast! The staff were friendly, plenty of seating options and we didn’t wait to long for our food.

This is my second visit to the Old Tile Works, I came with a friend who enjoyed the experience as much I did first time. They are open for breakfast from 9am to 11.30am lunch from 11.30 and closes at 4.30pm. 31st August 2025. We were with friends. It was a lovely sunny afternoon. We sat in the new orangery, all doors were open to let the breeze in. It was busy, no wait at the tills. We were told there would be a delay due to previous orders and certain items make come sooner than the cooked food. I have to say the food is worth the wait. My suggestion to customers if they want their meals at the same time. Give instructions to the staff so it is noted on your order, it saves upset and disappointment. I had the Tuscan Tagliatelle lovely sauce with roasted peppers, spinach not too much garlic creating a good strong flavour to the tagliatelle. My friend had the Prawns and Advocado salad, a large portion of Prawns. We shared a bowl of homemade chips the were tasty and not greasy. There is ample parking, surrounded by a wall made of tiles. The building from the outside is lovely to look at. Set below the Humber Bridge and by a small lake, there is lots of wild birds and other wildlife to see. In the grounds are various small artisan businesses.

After a long 4 hour drive, The hubby and I had a lovely lunch at The Old Tile Works Restaurant and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was really tasty and well presented. The service by Layla was excellent, so welcoming & polite (Thank you Layla). We also had a stroll around a few shops and the Garden centre which we found all very reasonably priced as we bought a few treats 😉 We also had a peep in the pottery shed to watch how the tiles and plant pots were being made.

Humber Bridge Garden Centre was a pleasure to visit. They offer a wide array of garden supplies, from a vibrant selection of plants to comfortable and stylish garden furniture. Everything you need to create your dream outdoor space is likely to be found here! I was particularly impressed by the sheer variety of plants available. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just starting out, you're sure to find something that catches your eye. The staff seemed knowledgeable and helpful, which is always a plus. The on-site restaurant/cafe also looked very appealing. It was bustling with customers, which is usually a good sign when it comes to food quality. While I didn't have the chance to try it myself, the menu looked delicious and the atmosphere was inviting. The large car park was a welcome convenience, especially after browsing through all those tempting garden goodies! Overall, Humber Bridge Garden Centre is a delightful place to spend an afternoon. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for garden supplies, inspiration, or simply a relaxing escape.

We went for the first time yesterday as the sun was shining and wanted to stop somewhere for some lunch. We both had the salmon salad which was absolutely gorgeous and we both said we will be back again. Staff were friendly and there were some very nice bits in the shop, we were impressed overall.
