A beautiful pub, with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere and the MOST lovely staff!!! The food was beautifully presented; but the flavours weren’t there in my opinion… there were a few things I would have liked done to make it tastier, and I thought some of the veggie dishes were a little overpriced for what they were (comment if you’d like to know details BRI!). Overall, it was a nice meal in a wonderful and wholesome setting and perhaps I just ordered the wrong things :)

The roast dinner here was incredible!! So glad we chose this pub for our Sunday lunch, all the veg was really fresh and meat cooked beautifully, and so reasonably priced, only sad part is we live 2 hours away and cant visit every Sunday!

Amazing Sunday roast, 3 different meats on a sharing board with vegetables and a teapot of gravy. Very good and excellent value. Staff very friendly as always.

All I can say is wow, what a special place! The best vegan roast I have ever had - they were super accommodating to my other dietary needs and the chef even adapted my main course for me! The food was delicious and the staff were so lovely, would definitely recommend!

What a smashing little pub! Had a fantastic lunch here with family. The restaurant serves up tapas style dishes and an amazing roast. It’s served up on sharing platters so everyone can dig in and help themselves. Great local produce and cooked beautifully.

Can't recommend this pub enough. Not only is it great service and a wonderful local pub. The food is absolutely delicious. When we go, it is a proper treat and gets us super excited about food.

Fabulous pub, superb food and really good attentive service from the two young waitresses who were never without a smile. The food was quite excellent. My wife and I had five dishes to share which was about right. Everyone was delicious. I recommend you book and give this place a try

Fantastic Persian theme night meal at the Black River Inn last night. The food was fabulous, very reasonably priced and the service was wonderful. The bar and waiting staff are very attentive and the atmosphere in the whole place was simply lovely. The food was gorgeous! Highly recommended.
