Premier Inn Burton On Trent Central hotel

A standard Premier Inn on the edge of the town of Burton on Trent. It's built on a very busy road and for much of the evening cars with very loud, presumably modified exhausts were whizzing past, plus numerous emergency services with sirens going. There is an adequately sized car park, and what appears to be a previously branded pub/restaurant next door, but all the branding had been removed and I thought it was closed down and vacant until the desk staff at the hotel told me it was open for dinner and breakfast as part of the hotel! I can't comment on it as I didn't visit it. There's a big Morrisons literally across the road to stock up on snacks and water, which is very handy. The room itself was clean, and in excellent condition. The bathroom had an actual bath and there was plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The bed was comfy, the pillows plump and the sheets were clean and of good quality. Summer of the common areas seemed pretty dirty, with the carpets in the lift area and in the lift itself Jenny quite alot of visible mess, bit this could be from a guest as the lobby and corridor areas were clean and tidy. Staff were smiling and friendly. You are realistically going to need to drive or take a taxi to get to town unless you like long walks along busy industrial roads, but if you want a local hotel with easy parking in the area, you could do worse than stay here. I've stayed in much worse in the same chain.

Always top notch for me I have stayed there many times now I love pretty local on a shared house but sometimes just want my own space. Rooms are always really clean and staff are friendly and welcoming. You really can't go wrong for the price!

When we had arrived the staff where quiet unusual while booking, a man booked us in. While doing so laughing and talking to 4 other employees.We got our card headed to our room to the same man who checked us in 5 minutes before walking into our room.. he said this room was empty. Well obviously not as I am in this room and you have walked in… very odd situation, and as a women I felt personally quiet unsafe he checked me in and walked into this room 5 minutes after no knock no warning just waking straight in. Very odd incident. I am not bothering getting breakfast especially after seeing other reviews. The room was clean on the outside but taking a closer look I saw wrappers under the single bed, I at-least expected simple wrappers to be picked up. The location i would say is quiet great due to the Morrisons superstore and petrol station also the conveniently placed McDonalds which helps as the food I have seen in the hotel is terrible.

Rooms clean and basic but comfortable enough. Very noisy at night people running back and forth. Room was very warm but air con was good which made up for it. Staff on reception and in restaurant were very rude. Not at welcoming and very unhelpful. We had paid for a meal deal which wasn’t explained and when I asked a few questions a menu was thrown at me and I was told read this. Food was appalling. Burnt and pretty inedible. Dinner slightly better than breakfast. Availability at breakfast terrible and we left hungry and had to stop and get something else. Complete waste of money for the meal deal don’t bother as nicer places locally which cost similar prices. A shame as had the potential to be a nice place but noisy and rude staff so wouldn’t visit again

Stayed here for 1 night nothing Premier about this place. Room was clean overall, but in the shower we had a cracked tile, also the paintwork and cealent were in a poor state under the sink. Only 1 large towel was provided and 2 small face towels. The other disappointment was the bar it didn't open till 5pm. Breakfast was very good but did have to wait for fresh eggs also black pudding ran out. Overall breakfast was good with pastries and fresh fruit and cereal. Would not stay in a Premier inn again as price did not match quality.

Clean, comfortable room with good mirror in room with plug next to it and well it for make up. Good shower. Facing the road but no traffic as quiet part of town. Good restaurant next door with good selection for breakfast. Large free car park. Supermarket very close for anything you've forgotten.

Restaurant very poor. Hot day didn’t want a main so had starter at 5.99. Pudding at 6.99. And was charged extra for the pudding because I hadn’t had a main. Even though the meal deal had been paid for 2 courses. No other restaurant does this. I have the same in Wolverhampton the night before with no extra to pay. Will not be back and will advice the company not to use again. . Also took 1 hr and 10 minutes just for the above with only 7 people in the place. Total joke

Bed very comfortable and was lucky to get newer style room as there seemed to be a mix, staff at the reception were very helpful, facilities worked as expected, and would definitely stay here again! This was my first stay so it would have been nice to explain the facilities available such as tea and milk refills, vending machines, and HDMI on the wall for the TV, but now I know :)
