The Buxton-guided tour was fantastic. This was a scheduled visit for our family of 4, and there were two additional visitors. The guides (I think, Katey and Ollie?), were just lovely and really gave us a good idea of how times would have been. The interactive features were nicely done. I would highly recommend this on any day but this very rainy day was quite suitable. The visitor centre across the street was also helpful; the bottles of local water were a treat!

We had the most wonderful time at The Buxton Crescent Experience today. It truly exceeded our expectations and has been such a highlight of our trip. Lucas was an incredible guide and what a credit he is to the experience. He was very engaging and so knowledgeable about Buxton Crescent. He made the whole experience interactive and fun, especially for my 5-year-old, who was completely hooked. He really took his time answering all her questions and answering them in an age appropriate way for her. (the hot air balloon ride and heading down to the basement being her favourites!). It was so special to see her so fascinated by the history and asking lots of questions - a real credit to the effort that’s gone into creating this experience. If you’re visiting the Peak District, this is an absolute MUST for all ages!! Highly highly recommend!

Absolutely brilliant! The Buxton crescent experience is so much more than a museum. It’s immersive, interesting and very cleverly done. We especially enjoyed the VR headsets taking us on the ballon ride and the apocothary. This attraction would be suitable for small children all the way up to adults. Lots of interactive things for kids to do, costumes for them to try on but brilliant explanations from the guides on the building, the history that are pitched at the right level for the group. I also noted that there were ‘deeper dive’ leaflets in each room for those that wanted to have more detail. The pump house and shop opposite is also lovely. You can buy reasonably priced gifts here (not the tacky kids, nice stuff! And handmade bits), you get get a coffee and a snack and you can also buy a little souvenirs glass bottle to fill with magical Buxton water ☺️ The guides and staff are lovely…incredibly knowledgable and helpful. Loved it!

After having to rearrange several times and always being met with friendly, helpful staff, we eventually got to visit and it didn't disappoint. Our guide was Joanne who couldn't have been more informative or knowledgable. She left us to take in information of all the rooms but kept discretely near to join us to add snippets of history and tips of where to go and see afterwards, even taking us up to see rooms that are not normally on the tour. Thank you for making this such an enjoyable experience and highly recommend anyone to visit if in Buxton

We did the experience today, guided by Ethan. He was absolutely incredible. Very knowledgeable and interactive with the adults and the children. He explained in a way the children would understand and answered all of their questions. The experience itself was so well thought out and excellent value for money. Thank you Ethan for your enthusiasm and knowledge and for making our trip so enjoyable. We would definitely return and recommend to friends.
