Our family had a wonderful experience with Covered Wagon Tours, and it truly became the highlight of our trip. From the moment we arrived, the cast and crew were warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to keep us entertained even before we boarded the wagon. The hosts were incredibly friendly and attentive. We weren’t able to book the dinner portion due to dietary restrictions, but the team was so thoughtful about it. They let us know that there were options available and made us feel included rather than singled out, which we sincerely appreciated. A special shout-out to Judy, who was especially kind to our six-year-old. She took the time to talk with him, make him feel comfortable, and even surprised him with a cowboy hat. He was absolutely thrilled, and it is all he talked about for the rest of the day. Overall, the hospitality, the fun atmosphere, and the genuine kindness from everyone made this a standout experience. We highly recommend Covered Wagon Tours and are so grateful for the memories they helped create!

Very educational and fun! Learned alot and the scenery was beautiful. Paul was a wonderful guide and I think his name was Craig, he was an excellent driver. The lady at the bar was very kind. When we arrived the wagon was full but we had something arranged right after the tour so we couldn’t wait. She went to the wagon to ask the passengers who were waiting on dinner with them if they didn’t mind going on the next wagon and we found two passengers that didn’t mind waiting. Thank you all for accommodating us with the times. PLEASE wear sneakers or boots, don’t be like me and wear sandals.

Covered Wagon Tours presents an authentic and engaging tour experience, incorporating informative content about palms, flora, birds, and animals, followed by a chuckwagon dinner, where the chicken was exceptionally tasty. The evening festivities transpired in a captivatingly rustic setting, featuring dance. A fire pit was provided for marshmallow toasting, and various areas allowed for socializing and game-playing. The staff displayed outstanding friendliness and dedication to guaranteeing a memorable experience. This venue is wholeheartedly recommended for its distinctive experience. Additionally, it is well-suited for families with children, who were observed having an enjoyable time. They do reservations on phone or online. They do not have an official address, but look for their sign on the right if you are coming from the 10 Fwy and Washington St. Exit. Enjoy!

An amazing time from a Wagon ride, to learning about the land, to square dancing, to live performance, to great food and dessert this is a fun time for all ages I can not recommend enough. Something to note is the location of the venue is where the main area is the Wagon tour goes to the San Andres fault and the oasis and brings you back so if you get cold you are still near where you parked. Also PALM TREES ARE NOT TREES they are plants. You can learn that and so much more interesting facts from the Wagon Tour 5 out 5.

February 5, 2025: Best idea we had was to escape the glitz & noise of town, and be immersed in the beauty and quiet of the desert. This was a first rate experience; we learned much about the landscape, native plants, why they use mules over horses to pull the wagons. So peaceful and wonderful, friendly folks making you feel as welcome as family. Don’t miss an opportunity to make coming here a priority. Almost forgot to mention the great BBQ dinner: smoked brisket & chicken, coleslaw, baked beans, mashed potatoes, warm rolls, and apple pie. Iced tea & fresh lemonade. We could do it all over again, and certainly will next trip. 😎

Could not recommend this tour any more highly! We had a group of 11 girls for a bachelorette party & we had an absolute blast. From the moment that we arrived, we were greeted by our tour guides & the owners. They offered us refreshments & made us feel right at home. We had a bit of a gloomy rainy day, so were not able to participate in all the fun lawn games that they had set out, but there were lots of them! The inside of the barn could not have been more cozy & welcoming! Our tour guide, Paul, was great! Very knowledgeable about the area & great sense of humor. The tour itself was not terribly long, but that was probably a good thing because we were ready to get back to the barn and eat. The BBQ was phenomenal. Honestly, best chicken I have had. But literally everything they served up was delicious. And the live band was just the cherry on top! They were so fun and led us through a barn dance & a line dance. Once again, highly recommend this tour for anyone who enjoys the outdoors, good food & live music!!!

I HIGHLY recommend this tour for couples, families, friends and any group you want to grab. From the moment you arrive they treat you like close friends - explain everything and are so very friendly. The wagon ride was so much fun; but the history of the area and the explanations of what we were seeing was very interesting ... but wait ... then the fun really starts. As soon as you get back, the music is playing ... the barn dance is beginning. The sun is setting, the dancing has started and the food is so delicious. Just when you are relaxing and reflecting on the great time - there's more - it's time to roast marshmallows. I truly cannot recommend this fun adventure enough. It's perfect for everyone.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Covered Wagon Tours. We loved that it included a beautiful ride across the desert, a knowledgeable guide teaching you about the landscape and the environment, yard games to keep the kids (and adults) entertained, entertainment; music, performances, and dancing, and delicious food. The staff were all so helpful and friendly. Truly special experience for our family. Two adults, two kids ages 10 & 8.
