Just spent the weekend at Wassells house. Everything about the accommodation is exceptional, rooms are beautifully set out, modern and extremely comfortable. The hosts Mags and Bruce are amazing, very attentive and always available. |Situated close to Cheddar Gorge and the Mendips. The amenities are eco friendly and sustainable. |The breakfast choice and quality is amazing.|Thoroughly recommended.

Good clean accommodation. Water and tea coffee in room and kitchen to use which provided cereal Bread yoghurts and juice for breakfast. The juice had all been taken by the time we ventured into the kitchen and host replaced for us. Would come here again hopefully for a longer visit.

Barbara's B&B in Cheddar was a very lucky last minute find for us to stay for one night, having been to a wedding in the local area. Three friends stayed in the family room. It was exceptionally comfortable with lots of space. Barbara gave us a lovely welcome with drinks in the beautiful garden. We could make tea in our room too and were free to come back late at night following the wedding reception. Breakfast was delicious, with so much choice! The only slight comment would be that the water pressure in the shower was quite low but that is very minor and didn't detract from our wonderful stay. We would heartily recommend anyone to stay at Southland House B&B, excellent value for money!

My husband and I have just returned from a weekend away in this excellent B&B. The owner, Barbara, was a lovely host as was her daughter who greeted us upon our arrival.||||The accommodation was spotlessly clean. Our bedroom and bathroom were very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. ||||The breakfast menu was extensive. Quality well cooked ingredients were provided. It was certainly the largest breakfast we've ever had.||||We will most definitely return.

Great stay, excellent comfy, warm (lovely underfloor heating) and well equipped room, beautifully fitted out, great location for visits to cheddar and the area. Friendly and attentive host, great setup. Very glad we found it, nice walk into town, short walk to the reservoir. Great find and will be back. Thank you.

We ended up here by chance as the original hotel we were staying had double booked. I'm very glad we did!! What an exceptionally lovely room which was spotlessly clean. Beautiful bed linen on a huge comfortable bed. The ensuite was huge and also spotless. Everywhere smelt so fresh. Breakfast was laid out beautifully and I actually felt bad for not eating the lovely bowl of fresh fruit that had been prepared before diving into the full English. The owner was also lovely with a ready smile. Nice pub 10 minute walk for dinner. Would highly recommend.

We called last minute and Mrs Barbara was able to provide a room. We couldn't be happier. The room is lovely and spotless, the breakfast is amazing, cooked to order at the time you want it. I recommend staying here. The B&B is at walking distance from the reservoir if you fancy a long nice walk around it, or you can walk to Cheddar village and the gorge in 25 minutes so you don't have to park up there. Also, the Bath Arms pub and restaurant is 10 min away on foot.

We stayed here last night on the off chance while driving through. I have to be honest this b&b is beautiful and the rooms are so welcoming and cosy! The bed was to die for it was huge and so comfy with lovely bedding. Barbara was very friendly and helpful. Also the breakfast was a 5* with plenty of choice. I would highly recommend staying here as we will defiantly be coming back if we are in the area again.
