Charnallies Restaurant & Bar

It is a very good atmosphere. The restaurant was really packed. You can see from the photos the dishes look very good. To be fair the sicilian chicken was the best. The Golden Cod wasn't to my liking. It looked like it was cooked too much but the peas and the chips were brilliant. The place is right on the street coming from the pier so lots of amusement arcades so it's a bit noisy. I've only scored for food 4 because of the fish.

Food was delicious, huge cocktail menu lots of delicious drinks, including tasty milkshakes. Helen was such an amazing waitress very friendly and attentive and went above and beyond to include our specials needs child. She also made sure to seat us where we could fit the wheelchair and baby pram without being in the way. Would definitely recommend and come again

This place is great! Really fast service really fast food making the chips are really delicious! 😋 good Halloween atmosphere! I'll say the only 2 things they need to change is chicken and batter there still nice but it could be a lot better. Over all great place!

Lovely experience at this American themed restaurant and bar. Nice atmosphere. Staff very attentive and friendly. Food is cooked to order so piping hot and very tasty. Have a range of options for breakfast,lunch and dinner. Well worth a visit.

Visited secound time around and was brillant again. Helen was extremely attentive and friendly and become part of the group! Absolute gem of a waitress! Everyone was fantastic and very helpfull Food was lovely and the deserts where brillent, highly requemend. Thank you for great service

Service and staff were brilliant but I wanted something healthy. Literally one item on the menu that comes close to being healthy and that was a ceaser salad. It was £8 and £4:50 extra to add a chicken breast, that's way to steep for a ceaser salad. It was just bland and had no flavour. Also it was just shredded lettuce which doesn't work in a salad as it's almost impossible to pick up. My friends food looked good tho. Also I ordered a cranberry juice and it was definitely a cranberry flavour fruit squash as tasted nothing like cranberry juice.

Hi we have lived in Clacton-on-sea for 26 years and don t ask me why but we have never been to Charnallies until today. We were nicely greeted by Josh swiftly seated and given food and drinks menus, we only went in for a drink. But. The decor and feel of Charnallies is very welcoming and relaxing we ended up ordering from the lunch menu which i have to say is EXTREMELY GOOD VALUE. Our food was freshly made and hot Josh is very attentive. We got talking to the owner as she was sitting behind us working on her laptop, very nice lady and very approachable. 2 Cocktails, 3 Beers. 2 starters. 2 mains. £51.50 Great value. We will be back keep up the good work Charnallies and the team

Fantastic!!! Really reasonable pricing at £6 for an all you can eat brunch. Nice thick bacon! Food was exceptional considering the low cost. Staff went above and beyond they were fantastic. Really friendly and helpful. My only little moan is I don't think the raised platter for the food is the best idea as I did knock this off and make a mess, however the staff cleaned it all up and brought more food immediately.
