This little gem is tucked away at the back of Royds Park in Littletown between Heckmondwike and Cleckheaton. Run by friendly enthusiast members and volunteers, it offers rides for adults and children on model steam trains and a diesel. Snacks and drinks are available at its cafe. It operates regularly all year round and is open Wednesdays and Sundays during school holidays. It's best to check the Facebook page for actual running days and opening times. It has ample car parking accessed at the top of a side street opposite Burnhills Animal Feeds, although you can park on the roadside and walk up through the park. The park and railway make an economical way to entertain the kids for an afternoon during the holidays.
