Ate a late lunch here at 4pm in Escala, other nearby cafes stopped food at 3pm It was a bit tricky to park on the beach front,so parked up a side street ,free parking and walked down. The beach front was lovely to look at, not really suitable to swim as there was a lot of mud. Small stony area you could sit on.

We came across the pier by accident. We didn't know about it before stopping in Clevedon last week. It is well worth a visit for the panoramic views over the Bristol Channel. The entrance fee is £6.00 but that gives you access for a year. Even better is the cafe, their fish and chips are fantastic, the best we have ever had. You need to try them for yourself

Beautiful, well maintained pier, with friendly and helpful staff. I took my less abled mother, who thoroughly enjoyed the very slow walk to the end, reading all the plaques. The ability to sit anywhere along the pier was an added bonus for my mum. The view from the end was lovely.
