The Break Room Brewing Company

As a bar, this place is great. They have a decent selection of local beer, a big, dog friendly outdoor area and excellent service. Our waitress was super nice and did a fantastic job. Where the place falls flat is the food. My wife and I both ordered burgers. I got mine with fries and she got onion rings. Everything came out burnt. All of it. And it took forever to get it. The burgers were dry, tough and well charred. They weren’t so much burgers as burnt offerings. The fries were cooked hard. But the onion rings really took the overcooking game to the next level. I’ve never attended culinary school, and I’ve never worked at a Michelin Starred restaurant, but I’m pretty sure onion rings shouldn’t be black. So if you’re just looking for a place to unwind, hang out with friends and have drink, then I highly recommend this place. What I don’t recommend is ingesting anything that comes out of the kitchen.

This place has great food and great beer. I don’t give reviews often, they seriously have the best burgers I’ve ever had. The Jalapeño Sourdough bun is insanely good. All the food we ordered was far above expectation.

Fun place with a great house brew. The patio has some fun drinking games setup and inside it's fun as well. Their brew operation is behind some glass which is cool and there's even a Chuck Norris joke wall! Stop by off the highway and check it out.

We brought our pup on vacay and were so pleasantly surprised by how dog (and kid) friendly this brewery was! The servers made sure we had what we needed outside, there were plenty of places to sit, and our son had a blast playing outside while we waited for our food. The atmosphere was great and the views of the mountains amazing! Food was excellent and the brews delightful! Thanks for making us feel so welcome and a wonderful afternoon outside!

This place was a really great stop. Even though the wait staff was late, the bartenders took care of us and we had a great experience. It is rare to find a dog-friendly place in Pagosa Springs sadly but we were able to bring our dogs onto the patio. The food was amazing!! We will definitely be back.

This is my second visit to The Break Room. So far this is the best food I've found in Pagosa. This time I ordered the Hatch green chile burger and onion rings. I'm not a ranch dressing fan but their ranch and crispy onion rings are like a meal in themselves. The burger was perfectly seasoned, accented by the peppers and a rich cheddar. The jalapeño sourdough made for an amazing bun and so delicious I would eat it on its own. Be aware that service and food will take a while. Come prepared to sit a while and relax. The woman working the bar was also waiting and bussing tables and refilling drinks. Be sure to leave a generous tip.

We stopped here on our way to Durango. The bartender Ben was super friendly. I love how out west dogs are allowed inside also. The nachos were OK but I've had better. They were a welcome respite from all the driving though.

We came in for lunch around noon. It was pleasant outside. We had a small dog with us so we sat on the patio. The picnic table were in the sun so we sat in the highboy chairs on the patio. The service was good and the green chile burger and fries were delicious.

This place had great food, great atmosphere & great service. We were greeted within 2 minutes of sitting down and they kept checking on us to see if we needed anything. The food was fresh & hot. Best catfish I've ever had. Hailey was GREAT. Would definitely go back

Staff were very nice and attentive. The atmosphere was fun and I like the outside seating options. I had the street tacos, they were pretty good. Margarita was also pretty good. I would return if we were to vacation in the area again.

We came after seeing all the great reviews for a dog friendly brewery with good food. Sadly it did not deliver. They had none of their personal or local brews available which was disappointing. The large shaded patio was the best part. A large dog was wandering around off leash towards the end of our visit and went inside making me think it’s a frequent visitor. If it hadn’t stalked and made aggressive moves towards us and our dogs we wouldn’t have cared. The food was 50/50. My chicken sandwich was nice and moist but served on the wrong bun. The pizza on the other hand was burnt to a crisp and inedible. Even the cheese was a hard shell. The loaded fries were okay, good fries and queso but the bacon was once again really burnt and the green chile was cold. Servers were nice but they had to comeback multiple times because the kitchen hadn’t told them they were out of something. All in all it felt like a joint being ran by nice but clueless kids.

Best fried catfish I’ve ever had! The Buffalo sauce with the chicken strips was also noticeably different than others, in a good way. It was really good. We were disappointed that there was not any break room brewed beer to have with our food. That was the only downside. But they offer plenty of other draft, can, and bottle options. The staff were also very friendly, welcoming, and informative.
