Stayed at Lapford Mill cottage over the May Bank Holiday weekend, and it is an outstanding lovely cottage with a superb facilities: a wonderful kitchen/diner with everything you could need, a relaxing lounge, comfortable beds, great bathroom with a powerful shower, crisp linen and towels. The Cottage has its own bijou sun terrace and private parking too. The Mill has three sections of grounds to explore, and is therefore very dog friendly. The Mill has a fully licensed bar and hosts live music too. Whilst we were there there was karaoke with live piano accompaniment, and a trad jazz band to following evening. We invited some friends over for Sunday brunch and, despite a phalanx of happy cyclists arriving just before for a coffee break, Alex served up a beautifully presented hot and tasty brunch catering for a vegan, two veggies and a carnivore with ease! Both Alex and Gwen are lovely hosts, and the Mill and its cottage are both highly recommended. My advice, get in quick to try this hidden gem, as it won’t be hidden for very much longer.
