A huge thank you to Marcus for what was a really special few hours. In a relaxed, cathartic setting his barbecue and cooking expertise was very humbling (I have never seen so many barbecues and ways to barbecue) and the vibe made you feel very much at home amongst friends whilst helping you to think ‘I can do this’. Inspired, very very well fed….so glad I went.

I attended the intermediate course today bought by my wife for a Christmas present. I love to bbq and have watched Marcus on you tube cooking various thing’s and fancied trying a course to improve my skill set. It did not disappoint, Marcus is so knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. The atmosphere was fantastic and the food was stunning, I had the best ribs I’ve ever had, the pork belly was stunning and the tomahawk steak was to die for, not to mention the scotch eggs and the battenberg. I would highly recommend doing one of Marcus’s courses.

I had an absolutely brilliant day at the UK BBQ School! Marcus is a true legend — knowledgeable, passionate, and great fun to learn from. I did the BBQ Fundamentals course and it’s given me the confidence to get out there and fire it up! The food we cooked (and ate!) was simply amazing, and the course covered everything you could possibly need to know and more. Just need to buy a BBQ now and put it all into practice. Highly recommend to anyone, whether you’re a total beginner or looking to up your game. I hope to see you again my friend!

A brilliant afternoon for our works Christmas do. Marcus was a great host and spoilt us with his wealth of knowledge on live fire cooking, sharing different methods, hints and tips all through the cooking process, before then serving up the most meat on one table I think I’ve ever seen! This isn’t the first time I’ve been to UK BBQ School, and it definitely won’t be the last. Marcus is a genuinely nice guy, very friendly and welcoming and also a font of knowledge! He has certainly helped to improve my bbq game massively since my first visit earlier this year. Very highly recommended!

Had a tremendous experience at the intermediate class. Marcus runs a very informative and interactive class, willing to answer any questions honestly and demonstrating his expertise and experience. I know that the tools that this class has given me will take my BBQ game to the next level. Thoroughly recommend

Perfect afternoon of BBQ. Marcus is a great teacher, has a superb venue and some great tools and ingredients to play with. Add these together and you have the ideal combination for an afternoon of eating and learning. The food was sensational, and I went away with lots more technical knowledge as well as lots of tips and inspiration. Marcus had a very laid back and non-judgemental approach, so whether you are a novice or expert there is much to be enjoyed and taken away. Recommended for anyone who enjoys good food cooked well.

Just back from an evening at the UK BBQ School with Marcus Bawdon of Country Wood Smoke. Absolutely fantastic evening learning how to cook over open fire. Excellent course, easy to follow & great hands on experience. Everyone gets involved with the prep & cooking & of course the eating. Plenty of it, you leave with a full belly. I can highly recommend the UK BBQ School & will definitely be back for more. Thanks for a super evening Marcus

Just completed the recent BBQ Fundamentals course. What an experience, led by the knowledgeable and humorous Marcus, he managed to impart tips, skills and correct the many mistakes or misconceptions we have about BBQ. I left the day better informed and prepared to do things differently. As a bonus the food was great as well. Thanks Marcus.
