Great little shopping experience at the entrance to Yorkshire Wildlife Park. Nice selection of shops, cafes and restaurants in a beautiful setting. The area is nicely laid out with great landscaped gardens. There is a stage where they hold free events. A big themed restaurant which looked great but was sadly closed when I visited.

Absolutely amazing little set up! There are shops, restaurants, cafes, a play barn and a hotel then in the middle of it all is the entrance to the wildlife park. Amazing idea and beautifully laid out. All people moaning about needing to walk past all the shops before you get to the wildlife park, it's literally not even a five minute walk🙄🙈 There are plenty of signs for the toilets ect. And they even had a free panto when we were coming out of the wildlife park, unfortunately we didn't have time to see it. The area is absolutely beautiful with gorgeous flowers and a fish pond too. Absolutely love this idea. We spent the full weekend here and I'm already looking at booking to come back!

A Buzzing Destination for All Ages, with Free Amphitheatre Shows! Nestled in the heart of Yorkshire, The Yorkshire Hive is truly a gem that offers an impressive array of attractions for visitors of all ages. From delightful shops and cosy cafes to a thrilling Ferris wheel, Amphitheatre and a play barn for the kids, there’s something for everyone to enjoy and the daily amphitheatre shows are free, which is a huge bonus, especially for families or those on a budget. The convenience of a large car park and public toilets makes for a stress-free visit, and the crowning jewel of this destination is undoubtedly the Yorkshire Wildlife Park, which provides a fantastic day out for families and animal lovers alike. One of the standout features, is its vibrant community of shop owners. Each shop is staffed by friendly owner operators, knowledgeable individuals who excel in customer conversation and communication, making shopping here an enjoyable experience. It's refreshing to see such dedication to customer service in today's retail environment. We thoroughly enjoyed browsing through the boutiques, and it was a delight to interact with the passionate owners who take pride in their offerings. As for the eateries, the cafes are charming and well worth a visit, but I have to give a particular shout-out to Cornerstone Gelato. Their ice cream is nothing short of dangerous—amazing flavours that will leave you two stone heavier! The staff are enthusiastic and persuasive, ensuring that you leave with a wider selection than you’d initially intended. It’s a testament to their excellent customer service; just be prepared to indulge a little too much! However, there's potential for even more growth and enrichment at The Yorkshire Hive. Adding a few more small shops could enhance its appeal as a shopping destination, allowing retailers to support one another and create an inviting marketplace atmosphere. Perhaps the Yorkshire Wildlife Park could play a role in this development by offering discount coupons for small businesses in The Hive. Such initiatives would not only bolster the local economy but would also create a community-centric vibe that would attract repeat visitors. After all, every little bit helps, especially for small retailers trying to make their mark. This is a must-visit destination that captivates with its diverse offerings and strong sense of community. We will certainly be returning, Thank you, Yorkshire Hive, for a delightful experience!

Stayed at the Hive hotel “Hex” in August 22 for the Yorkshire nights concert. It was a very very expensive night out for my daughter and I. Firstly I booked a balcony room as the website said these rooms had views of the wildlife park. In my head I was dreaming of sounds of Jungle and waking up to the lions roaming in the morning sunlight! In reality we got non of this. Our view featured no animals - our view was the shops in the Hive.. and a building site. Our room was nicely done was small. It all just looked a bit ‘ikea’ and cheap looking. Breakfast was extra - so I booked breakfast, but then found out I couldn’t get hot chocolate for my daughter as part of our £20 per person breakfast! It was rubbish to be honest. So our room was £170 per night. Breakfast was £20 per person. No tickets were included. But the most annoying part was the 30-40 minute walk to the area where the concert was taking place. Through the safari park and on past the mucking out areas, the water treatment works which stink and the tons of mosquitoes. All in all it was a huge waste of money. Next time we go to the night time concert I’ll book the parking next to the concert site and a hotel up the road for 1/4 of the price!!

Interesting new area added onto Yorkshire Wildlife Park. For this place to really work i think they need some more stores and a mixture of other restaurants. Same for the hotel they’ve added here - the idea is really interesting but without anything special like proper views of the animals, or late night access to the park there isn’t really much of a reason to stay here.

The Yorkshire Hive is the entertainment area before the gates into the wildlife park. So you could go there with the kids for the soft play, outdoor kids' theatre, trampolines, sweet shop, ferris wheel, restaurants etc. There are also live music concerts, with experiences like Tina Turner and actual acts like olly murs and the vamps. You can stay at the hotel or book childrens parties at the Hive. The car park is huge and free, with disabled parking and a drop-off zone and short stay. Best visited on a dry day, although there's plenty to do indoors too.

Had a lovely day with our grandchildren, the approaching roads were very congested so allow extra time. We had only booked the play barn and evolution to eat. Kids had an amazing time playing then eating . You definitely need to pre book at least a week in advance to guarantee your times.
