Schooner Hotel

Schooner Hotel is gone. Unfortunately this hotel was demolished January 2025. The land has been leveled Not sure if there are plans to rebuild in the future. Great views right on the beach and with additional parking across Gulf Blvd there is potential for a rebuild.

Always had such a great time and the staff was the best! Unfortunately due to the hurricanes helen and milton, the d time florida hotel had to much damage to be reopend and is now no longer in existence. Thank you to the staff and the great zucchini for such an amazing experience and the magic show the great zucchini would do for the kids! Gonna miss yall!

BOOKED A ROOM OUTTA TOWN FOR WORK AND COULDNT STAY BECAUSE THE HOTEL WAS UNDERWATER DUE TO STORM SURGE. THEY WILL NOT REFUND ME MY MONEY BECAUSE OF THE “NO REFUND” POLICY!! I THINK THIS IS BULL CRAP!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

Our family had an awesome stay at the Schooner Hotel. Our room was quiet, very comfortable and had recently been updated. Staff was kind and very accommodating. Located right on the beach with a great pool too. Great Hotel location too as there were a lot of good restaurants close by. We’ll definitely be back!!! Thank you.

We have been going with a group of friends to Schooner Hotel for about 20 years. We have stayed during good times and bad times related to the condition of the hotel. We will continue to make our yearly trip because we love the location, excellent beach access and beautiful sunsets. The hotel is older and needs updates, but we overlook these issues for the benefit of being with friends, and the beach environment. We always enjoy our visits, and the staff are friendly and helpful.|Yes, the price has increased but everywhere in Florida the prices have increased. In some areas have increased so much the locals are getting priced out, but that's another issue for another day.

Location was excellent right on the beach. Unfortunately there was leak in the roof, roaches present( read reviews on this issue had our own spray worked great) . Sad the place is scheduled for demolition probably the reasons for not upkeeping the property.

The views and location are excellent. The property itself could use some polishing though. Small things like missing light fixture globes, or the strings on the blinds missing and/or broken could be fixed. As the hotel is in a damp location being next to the gulf, wiping the accumulated grime off the window frames would also help boost the appeal. Overall I wouldn't stay again, but I also wouldn't recommend someone not stay. The staff is friendly and helpful, it's just not for me.

Room was ready hours prior. Awesome service at the desk. Location is amazing. Right on the beach.. beautiful sunset.. we were able to park early. now for the negatives: room smelled to the point I got a severe migraine that lasted two days and i only stayed 1 night. We left as soon as I woke up. I am very sensitive to mold mildew and perfume smells. No heat and didn't realize that til after the office closed, which is 4pm. I was scared to sleep under the blanket which i didnt. This is a no on my maderia beach stays. Kind of expensive for what it was.. really outdated and needs a big face-lift inside.. this room 111 should be checked as to why it smells so bad 👎 😫 it smelled of roach bait/spray for the palmetto bugs. 🤮
