Sad to be checking out today. Karenza is a delightful place. We have just had a week here with our two children (age 3 and 7) in the self catering lodge. The lodge is spacious and airy, well equipped, beautifully decorated in a contemporary Cornish cottage style and very comfortable. Paul is very a helpful and kind host.|This is the ideal location if you like quiet country getaways, walking and being close to nature. There's a secluded cove accessed via foot down a country lane but this is a fair way out from shops and conveniences. Ideal for us, we love unspoilt Cornwall, I grew up round here so its nice to have somewhere to stay.

We stayed here whilst walking the SW Coast path. I am writing this review because (a) there are not many recent reviews (b)there are very few places to stay for one night in this area (important for walkers) and (c) it is very good.||For £45 per night you are essentially getting a whole house. The "Annex" consists of two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a massive living area with kitchenette, sofa and big tv. You also get a private sunny bit of garden with chairs. All is tastefully decorated.||You host Paul will also provide fresh milk for your tea and a bit of cake to settle you in. We had no car so Paul drove us to a local pub and of course took us home at the end. ||Breakfast was served in his kitchen and was amazing and included fresh fruit and homemade jams with the croissant. Paul cooked some super scrambled eggs.||It's highly possible that this property will turn into an Airbnb in the future but it will be still be worth finding out. Many thanks Paul.

We were lucky to be the only guests in the B&B part on the night we stayed. This meant that we had the whole of that part of the house to ourselves. We had a very comfortable bedroom, a private sitting room and sole use of the bathroom. We guess that the bathroom may have to be shared if another bedroom is occupied but it was perfect for us.||We really liked Karenza and we would happily stay here again if we returned to this lovely, peaceful part of the country. Paul is a friendly host and the breakfast was excellent.

This was a stop on our SW Coast Path walk. Paul let us have the whole of his holiday let house. There was tea and cake on arrival and even a lift provided to and from the pub (which is in next village) breakfast was excellent, with fruit and yoghurt as well as the usual cooked English. All top quality. ||Thank you Paul! We also very much enjoyed hearing of his days in the racing business, (but you would have to ask as he is a modest chap!)

I stayed for one night whilst walking the coast path - such a shame it wasn't for longer.||Arrived and Paul instantly made me feel at home. I was booked in the b&b but the self catering wasn't booked so was put in there. Amazing!! ||I'd be happy to spend a whole week in the accommodation as it was perfect. Spanking clean and modern with everything you could wish for. All especially welcome after spending two weeks in much smaller rooms!||Breakfast was wonderful and filling.||||All in all, a great place and highly recommended.

Just back from five nights at Karenza and had a lovely stay. Really tastefully decorated, with everything of quality, beautifully clean and a warm welcome ....with home-made cake awaiting us on arrival! A great, peaceful location for exploring the Helford, Lizard area or for popping across to St Ives even. Def recommend

Tremendous 2 bedroom apartment run by Paul. The annex to his house has 2 bathrooms a large living room with kitchen and a private piece of garden. All is tastefully decorated. Paul also provides breakfast. An ace place.

Beautiful place to stay, amazing view and awesome hosts! The Annexe that we stayed in was beautifully decorated with amazing attention to the very last detail! Bathroom was goregous which is important to ne and the beds were really comfy! Loved the little terrace garden and bbq outside!
