1st time visiting today with my 10 and 6yr old boys. It was so lovely, they really enjoyed wondering through the butterfly house and I lost count how many times we all smiled! The staff were knowledgeable and had the time and passion to talk and answer questions. The bug holding session was very good too. The farm shop is really reasonable, I bought 3 ice creams and 3 cold drinks for just over £10- this is really good pricing. We gave the train a miss but loved all that we did. As a blue light card holder, they offer discounted tickets- this was amazing!

Well worth a visit if you are in the area as its very reasonably priced. The number of butterflies is amazing, and there are so many varieties to see. You can go through the butterfly house as many times as you like, we went through 5 times and each time was very enjoyable and we spotted new varieties each time. The cafe on site is also good value for money and provides nice drinks, cakes and pastries.

There are so many varieties of butterflies to see here. You can walk the tunnel as many times as you like, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Be aware of butterflies on the path as you walk through the tunnel, the bench at the far end by the pond is a good place to sit quietly and watch them land on you if you’re lucky. Also a good farm shop and tea room doing cakes and sandwiches on site. Overall a lovely place to spend a little time whatever the weather.

We never seen so many butterflies then when we visited Sussex Butterfly Garden on a rainy day. So colourful and different sizes. Some were easy to photograph keeping still while others were constantly on the move making near impossible to get a clear shot. A really enjoyable time there.

A lovely garden absolutely full of a variety of beautiful butterflies. It’s nice to be able to come in and out as many times as you wish as the air is hot and humid inside. The whole family were in awe of the butterflies and how many different species there were. We enjoyed matching them with the pictures and names on a sheet which helped us identify the butterflies. We also saw some caterpillars. My boys weren’t so keen on the insects but there was impressive volunteers/staff with a lot of knowledge about them as well as craft activities too. We really enjoyed a ride on the little train which shares the location and an ice cream from the cafe on site. Easy to find and easy parking. We will definitely come back again.

This is a really lovely place to visit for kids and adults alike. It's hot and humid in the butterfly tunnel, so wear something cool. Priced very reasonably and if your lucky the little train will be working too.

Wow amazing experience. More butterflies than I thought , though you do worry about , accidentally, treading on them or the caterpillars or taking hitch hikers out into the cold when you leave. My son and I went for a coffee after 40 minutes leaving my granddaughter in there who spent another 40 minutes and found it magical. Be forewarned it is tropical heat in there. Going again next week.
