Great location, great service, and wonderful room! The breakfasts were delicious. Ricky was friendly had a lot of helpful tips about things to do and see on the island. The room was spacious and had a great private outdoor area. Friendly geckos joined us for every breakfast. :)

Great Place! Nice Hosts Ricky and Irina. Very helpflul and communicative. Great farm to table breakfast. Unique location in the forests 🌳 with thousands of frogs 🐸 making music to midnight. They call rooms here suits which are actually apartments. They are very nice and spacious yet basic.

How lucky I was to find this place! This place is marvelous. The room is spacious, comfy, cozy and what a great view! The couple who runs it is very sweet and attentive. The B&B is located few minutes from Kona. Its so nice to come to a quiet peaceful piece of paradise at the end of the day away from the tourist madness. You can relax and enjoy the sunset from the privacy of your room. Do not skip the farm to table breakfast...sorry it didn't make it to the pictures we devoured it all. That guava french toast with mango jelly was heavenly! And the omelet to die for!. Thank you Ricky for hosting us we hope to be back sometime in the future!

As others have said, Ricky is an incredible host who cooks fabulous breakfasts. We loved our morning chats with him. He is enormously knowledgeable about Hawaiian history & customs. The photos don’t do the suite justice: it is very, very large, well appointed, a large tub plus a separate large shower, with a private lanai with a view to the water. Just a note: try to check in during daylight, the road down is steep. Once you do it, you will be fine at night, but do it first in daylight. Highly, highly recommended.

A brief drive from the hustle of downtown Kona into the relaxing atmosphere of the mountains. Extra points for a great shower with excellent water pressure. The lanai gives a wonderful view over the farm and the mountainside. On clear days, you can see all the way down into the ocean. The hosts were very helpful and friendly, and the room was lovely. If the optional is available, definitely spring for breakfast at the place. It was some of the best breakfast we had all trip, with fresh eggs from the farm and decadent French toast and fluffy pancakes.

My wife and I stayed 6 nights at Hale Hualalai on our honeymoon, and we had such an amazing time. The farm, about 15 minutes and 1000 feet above Kailua-Kona, is set in a quiet part of the Kona countryside. This location boasts cooler weather than the coast (70s) and coffee farms right down the street. The farm itself is secluded and full of fruit trees, chickens, and other animals. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a private balcony overlooking the farm and coastline. A highlight for us was the farm breakfasts with Ricky, which were the perfect way to start each day. Each breakfast was served on the shared balcony overlooking the farm, and started with Kona coffee and freshly picked citrus fruits from the farm. Ricky would then bring out a delicious main course such as banana pancakes with mac nuts and mango jelly with scrambled eggs. We usually had cute little geckos crawling around us while we ate. Every breakfast was fantastic, and Ricky provided tons of recommendations for what to do around the area. I couldn’t ask for a better place to stay and explore the Kailua-Kona area!

Awesome place! Great affordable breakfast. Killer views. Great room. Great hot shower. Can't say enough about how wonderful this place is and the couple that runs it. Very friendly. Can give you great info about what to do close by and around the island. So peaceful. Must go. I dream of going back some day!

Spectacular view, big windows, and a beautiful little deck We stayed for 5 nights. Room was airy and very pleasant. There's a coffee maker in the room, and a microwave, mini fridge, and electric kettle. There's no ac but you didn't really need it at this elevation. Wonderful place and hosts.

The Hale Hualalei is situated uphill above Kona. Spacious rooms, big balcony with ocean view. The owners serve a delicious breakfast with homegrown coffee. If you‘re interested in nature it‘s your place to be.

Short drive from Kona - Ricky was an amazing host, and the breakfast was wonderful every morning. Great views of the landscape from the rooms which were so spacious and comfy.
