Woodford Bridge Country Club

We visited as a family of 3 during 1/2 term and had a lovely week. We’ve have been a few times and always had a super stay. There was a bit of a mishap on our first night whereby our accommodation was not ready but the staff were excellent at resolving this for us. The rest of our stay was really relaxing, resulting in us booking an extra night to our stay. The facilities are good (we made good use of the pool and EV chargers) and there were fantastic evening activities for the little ones. I do feel the lack of a restaurant is the only lowlight - with it being such a remote resort it can mean you have to travel quite a distance to get dinner or means you need to plan to cook in your accommodation. However the coffee van outside the leisure centre each week day morning was a bonus. Shall definitely return again

We have stayed here a number of times and each time is more relaxing than the last. It's situated in the middle of nowhere so there is lots of peace and quiet. I had specifically requested accommodation close to the leisure centre and we were located about 30 seconds walk away. The accommodation was lovely, clean and had recently been refurbished. The balcony area was lovely to soak up the Autumn sunshine and watch the wind whistle through the trees. ||The leisure centre comprises a fitness room, with a full set of dumbbells, a smattering of kettle bells as well as the usual cardio and weight training equipment. There is a pool, sauna and steam room which again has been recently refurbished and is lovely. There is a jacuzzi which is a switch on/off type and can fit 4 real world sized adults in there. ||There is no restaurant on site any more, which is a downer but there are great places to eat within a 10-15 minute drive. I am informed the Manager is actively attempting to secure another restaurant franchise owner. ||A car is essential as there are only 2 buses per day. We love staying here and will no doubt visit here again at some point.

Very affordable and definitely worth the drive. The place was clean and well-maintained, with friendly and attentive service (special mention to LJ). Amenities were excellent — sauna, steam room, swimming pool, game rooms, and even some peacocks on site! The kitchen was spotless and fully equipped, beds were large and comfy, and parking was convenient. Just a small note — there’s no hair dryer in the pool changing room and no water fountain available. Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Highly recommended!

Would like to say a big thank you to the staff. Our car has been sitting there for 2 days waiting for the AA. We had to leave on Sunday expecting our car to be picked up that day. Staff have been very patient and kept us updated, which is more than I can say for the AA!. As for the place itself, all the staff were very helpful and friendly. There's a good amount to do there. Ie. Swimming, games a bar etc. Which was good as most of our stay we were stranded. The room was clean and well kept and a shop with a good amount of food in. Can't fault the place at all. I really hope we return...with a working car. Thank you!

What a lovely place to getaway. Be warned £100 deposit taken. Debit card upto 10 days for return, credit card only a holding payment so straight away. Stayed Off season so nice and quiet although said fully booked. Pool with jacuzzi sauna and steam rooms. Bar and restaurant closed but popup bar available. Fantastic accommodation. We booked 2 , 2 bedroom houses they have everything you'll need for self catering. I will be staying here again.

We are already planning our return to thus lovely place. It is like staying in a quaint little village in the middle of the country. Stayed in a one bedroom (4 birth) house., 2 adults and 2 kids (7yrs and 4yrs). Kids slept on the king-size bed upstairs and we had a huge sofa bed downstairs. Very comfortable and the facilities are just perfect for our young family.

Beautifully clean accommodation. Well presented. Helpful staff .well laid out place . The pool was beautifully clean and a lane roped off for those of us who like to swim up and down . Two problems which could easily be sorted. The pool lockers were filthy .... and most did not work .... so nowhere to keep your clothes safe . The second problem was disappointing . the flow of water into the bath was unbelievable slow. It literally took 30 minutes to fill the bath . . If your a shower person all is well. Overall this is a lovely place . There's no bar or catering on site but fir me that makes no problem . Get out to the local eateries and meet the locals in person .

I needed a two night break to surf, see friends and get some space to recharge my batteries. The staff were most friendly and helpful. The accommodation was perfect and very clean, double bedroom with bathroom and towels, with a living room and small self catering kitchen. It was perfect for what I needed. I didn't actually use the other facilities but they looked nice. I thoroughly recommend this resort. Thank you for a wonderful time!
