This was an AWESOME experience. I had emailed ahead of time to book a farm tour and wasn’t sure what to expect. We got a solo tour of the farm and the conservation efforts they are doing there. We learned so much about the land and the animals, all while in the presence of the wonderful highland coos! We were given wellies to walk around the muddy farm to protect our shoes and pants. We even got to pet Màiri, who was the sweetest. Thank you Black Sheep Farms for an unforgettable time!

Amazing tour! I learned so many interesting facts about Scottish Highlands Cows, sheep and farming in general. The farm itself is a conservation area for endangered cattle animals, and you see that people truly care about them. Totally recommend this one!

We loved the tour around the farm. It’s much more than just meeting highland cows with Ruaridh providing a lot of information about all the animals there and the environment during the walk around the property. Also, boots are provided so you don’t have to worry about getting dirty shoes when visiting the cows and sheep. Loved it.

Bucket list experience if you love animals! This was an amazing experience! Thoroughly enjoyed getting our hands dirty and brushing the coos. We took the farm tour afterwards and learned a lot interesting insights and got to see some of the babies, plus big Hamish. Highly recommend. Thank you Black Sheep Farms :)

Such a great visit learning about Highland Cows and Sheep. The focus of this farm is conservation not commercialization. We got to hand feed the Heilan Coos and sheep. Thank you Ken for hosting us! (Our trip got arranged by the Black Sheep hotel Whispering Pines Lodge.) Dream of petting a Highland Cow achieved!

Very nice farm tour! Our guide was very knowledgeable and we could even feed the cattle from our hands. One of us had a broken ankle and we could still arrange something to visit the farm with an ATV quad, many thanks 🙏
