This is our favourite restaurant to visit when we are in Lincoln. Great, quirky setting with exceptional service and food. We enjoyed the 7 course tasting menu which was outstanding. Pompeo is so welcoming at the front of house and very knowledgeable about the food and drinks. The new chef Daniele Gugliottta is extremely talented and passionate about his food. He served and explained every dish to us. We absolutely loved it. The smoked eel was outstanding and smoked in house. We will definitely be back next time we visit Lincoln. Would highly recommend it.

Lovely place with knowledgeable staff. Food was fantastic (we had the 7 course tasting meal with wine flight). The service was also impeccable. Our server were knowledgeable without being pretentious, describing each course and wine pairing with passion. The pacing of the meal was flawless, allowing us to savor each dish and enjoy our conversation without feeling rushed.

Excellent dinner, the tasting menu was delicious and every course perfectly executed. My wife had the flight of wine and enjoyed each one with the paired food. The team were fantastic, service was spot on and the rooms are lovely places to sit. For the price it's a brilliant dining experience.

Oh no! There's so many restaurants in Lincoln that are better in every regard, price point, quality, style, view. My particular issue here is the food quality as compared to the price. This could be better in every instance....

Can’t say I’ll be staying here again in a hurry. It’s currently 23:15 in one of the hotel rooms, which I was first impressed by I have to say. However quickly humbled by loud music/singing from about 6pm onwards. What I didn’t expect was for it to still be going at almost midnight. It’s so loud that the room is actually vibrating. I have tried to ring down to the restaurant 4 times in the last hour to ask when I can expect for it to quieten down but there has been no answer. I would have appreciated a little warning about the noise so that I could have got some ear plugs, or better, booked elsewhere! Came to visit poorly family members so what is already a stressful time has been made worse by a stressful hotel stay. Thoroughly disappointed and won’t be booking again

The location of the Bronze Pig Restaurant with accommodation above is superb for visiting Lincoln Cathedral and Lincoln Castle as well as the beautiful cobbled streets surrounding both historic sites. The rooms were comfortable, clean and thoughtfully appointed. Two of the rooms are at the front of the house with a certain amount of traffic which certainly did not bother me but worth requesting the back room if you are disturbed by traffic sounds at night. Don’t be put off by the entrance to the rooms which is through a side passageway and up a steep staircase which could do with some attention. Once you reach the room, you will see how nice it is and best to ignore the state of the entrance and staircase. Breakfast was not included in the overall cost of accommodation. This could be provided on request at the Bronze Pig Or there were many eateries close by that did delicious breakfasts At a price! We had a good stay at the Bronze Pig And the host was welcoming and accommodating and most willingly responding to any requests. We had a thoroughly enjoyable few days staying at the Bronze pig and exploring Lincoln.

My daughter and I were visiting Lincoln over the May Bank Holiday. I booked The Bronze Pig in March for Saturday 4th May at 7.30 to ensure we had a reservation during our stay. They have a taster menu, which is not very inspiring compared to other restaurants I have been too but a variety of steaks, which made us decide to eat here. We ordered Chateaubriand to share but were told that they had run out. We then asked for a fillet steak each and told that they didn't have any fillet either. They said the only steak they had to offer was ribeye (which neither of us like). We ended up leaving the restaurant without eating. I am totally astounding how a restaurant of this calibre does not have any steaks on a Saturday night at 7.30pm with steak being their main menu. There was hardly any apology from the staff and they didn't seem bothered at all. In fact I was under the impression thos has happened before. BE VERY AWARE IF YOU ARE EATING HERE AND EXPECTING TO HAVE A STEAK. Be prepared for disappointment
