Welcomed by our excellent tour guides John and Alison who after a briefing conducted our group of visitors on a superbly narrated tour of the ventilation shaft, its machinery, control room and deep into the tunnel complex below. Throughout the tour their well informed descriptions were accompanied by helpful safety advice. The dreadful rain outside was forgotten as they took us on the tour into the building and tunnel structure, punctuated by little known interesting facts and Liverpool "firsts" along the way. Quite strenuous at times as access up and down is primarily achieved by use of the stairwells however lifts are available for the less physically able. Great value for money, the two hour tour passed quickly. Truly the 8th Wonder of the World!

Really interesting and well worth the £12 fee. I recommend it to everyone who has an inner geek and to folk who want to learn more about the Tunnels and the Dock it is built near. Billy & Jackie the Tour Guides are great and really added that humour to the tour too.

Brilliant morning spent on old tunnel tour today ( Saturday). The tour guides were informative and had a good sense of humor. If you can't handle all the steps they have a lift ( for young lazy people). Really glad I went lots of interesting things I've learned today. Would recommend to anyone just for entertainment of the tour guides Best £12 you can spend in Liverpool
