The Dorchester

This is without doubt, my most favourite hotel in the world! Their attention to detail is like no other. The staff go above and beyond and you can tell that they clearly enjoy where they work and genuinely care about your experience. The Dorchester Hotel made our engagement night beyond magical and we cannot thank every single staff member for how they treated us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! We will be returning very soon for a stay like no other. Special thanks to Michelle in Guest Experience, you have surpassed our expectations.

My friends surprised me with Afternoon Tea for my 60th Birthday. I can honestly say it was amazing. The staff were extremely attentive and polite. I know a little expensive for most, however, it was worth every penny. Sandwiches were fresh and fillings gorgeous. You are able to change fillings if there are 1 or 2 that you may dislike. If all are finished they will be replenished. I’m not really a desert/sweet person but I have to say the cakes were delicious. You are able to have unlimited coffees, speciality teas and hot chocolate. A beautiful ambience.

The Dorchester truly stands in a league of its own — my absolute favourite hotel in the world! Every detail is perfection, and the staff go above and beyond to make every stay unforgettable. Our engagement night was made beyond special thanks to their thoughtfulness, and a huge shoutout to Michelle in Guest Experience for exceeding all expectations. A recent overnight stay with my daughter was just as incredible — the room was pure comfort and luxury, from the perfect lighting to the dreamy bed and pillows. It felt like a warm hug wrapped in elegance. Breakfast service was outstanding, with Anuar taking such wonderful care of us. The Dorchester team has created something truly extraordinary — a world-class hospitality experience that keeps you wanting to return again and again.

We booked this hotel to celebrate our anniversary. From the moment we booked it the reservation staff went out of their way to make our stay perfect. We had a lovely quiet room with fruit and a small anniversary cake. We ate in the grill and the staff were helpful and attentive. The food especially the Dover sole was exceptional. The next day we had a really amazing breakfast celebrating with champagne. It was made even more special by Anuar who was attentive and helpful and made our anniversary start in such a wonderful way. Thank you also must go to reception and concierge staff who are amazing too.

Just had a special overnight stay with my daughter. It was the BEST hotel experience I have ever had. The room was perfect, the lighting is just right, the pillows and bed, you just fall into like a big cosy hug. It felt so homely but with the grand touch of The Dorchester. All of the interactions with the Dorchester team have been amazing, Anuar looked after us so well at breakfast, we didn’t want to leave. You should be proud of the special hospitality experience you have created. THANK YOU

My husband and I stayed at The Dorchester in early October 2025, for a family birthday. We have visited the hotel’s restaurants for meals a number of times over the years, but this was only the second time we have stayed overnight. ||Our stay was wonderful from beginning to end. The hotel has recently been beautifully and tastefully refurbished, so all the areas looked and felt amazing. The staff were all so polite, helpful and dedicated to creating the perfect experience. ||On check-in, The Dorchester surprised us with a fabulous upgrade to one of their beautiful Belgravia Suites. Not only did this make our stay extra special, but the spacious sitting room provided the perfect venue for pre-drinks with our sons and their partners, who were joining us for a meal in China Tang that evening. ||We have stayed in a number of London’s most beautiful, iconic hotels and this was one of our most delightful and memorable experiences. Thank you for looking after us so well. We very much look forward to returning.

It is what it is. You get what you pay for, and that includes everything you'd expect for that price bracket. They don't fall short or compromise the price tag. Staff were (what I felt) after little judgy. Regardless of how a guest looks or what your preconceived notions are, you should be treated equally as you are paying just as much as the next person, if not more. Other than that, it was a unique experience. Well, in comparison to what I used to. The highlight of my stay was listening to the pianist play at the bar. He was very warm, friendly and actually entertained a request from me. I think his name was Glenn. Amazing and talented musician.very professional. Asides that, it was a very pleasant stay, and like I said, you get what you pay for.

We booked a car through the hotel for around £200 to pick us up from the airport, and we were very disappointed with the service. No one helped with our luggage, the driver parked very far away, and when we reached the hotel, he opened the back door and our bags fell onto the ground. Upon arrival at the hotel, there was no one welcoming us or assisting at the door. At check-in, we were passed from one staff member to another, and ended up standing around with no one attending to us. A staff member even approached another guest who didn’t need help, while completely ignoring us until I personally asked for assistance. We had booked two rooms. After complaining, they upgraded only one room, which did not make sense since we were traveling as a family and the inconvenience affected all of us. The upgraded room was spacious with the best view, but the older room was very small and had an unpleasant view. At checkout, we noticed there was coffee charged to our room which was not ours. If we hadn’t reviewed the bill carefully, we would not have known that extra charges had been added. Only after we questioned this, they asked for a credit card, explaining that it was required in case we have missed something ours in the room and needed to be sent back to us abroad — which does not make sense. While we were asking for clarification, one of the staff members whispered “don’t bother” to her colleague in front of us — which was very rude. For a hotel with a name like The Dorchester and the amount of money we paid, we expected a much higher standard of hospitality and service. Unfortunately, our experience was far below expectations.
