Beautiful, spotlessly clean sandy beach the goes for miles when the tide is out! Site of the beach racing shots from movie Chariots of Fire too, apparently. Dark sky for star gazing if you are in a motorhome for an overnight stay - £10.00 donation great value

This beach is quite special and has masses of driftwood. There is a relatively new visitors’ centre for the surrounding nature reserve. There are toilets (including disabled) as well as a free car park with electric charging points. Be careful about opening times - closes at 4pm 1 November -31 March; otherwise it’s 5pm. Mon - Sun. You can get to the beach via the town but there’s no parking nearby. The road down to the other end of the beach with visitors’ centre has a very steep and narrow road so not for fearful drivers! Well worth going though.

Great beach, very clean. The Nature Reserve and facilities are very well appointed. Bins, seating, picnic benches, trail signposting, infographics, even bowls for dog water, a very useful attraction. Visitor centre wasn't open but the toilets were. We came in our campervan, made use of the CDP waste disposal and overnight parking. Lots of people visiting, a really lovely place. Thank you

My grandpa was born in St Cyrus so whenever we visited them in Aberdeen, no matter which direction we headed off in, we always ended up in St Cyrus and the beach. A place that holds many happy memories for me.
