Absolutely love Potters. The staff are all so helpful and friendly, a big shout out to our waitress Yasmin, she was super friendly and helpful. Food was good and plentiful. There is plenty to do with no pressure to do anything if you don't want to. We stayed in the village in a deluxe room, they are lovely rooms, huge, comfortable beds, comfy chairs and a table, huge bathroom with bath and big shower cubicle with good water pressure. Lovely views from the room. With all that is included in the price it is good value, even if you don't drink alcohol, when you consider how much you pay for teas and coffees and soft drinks elsewhere and how much you pay for activities all these things add up.

We attended the resort to enter the bowls tournament. We have been to the sister resort at Hopton and wanted to give this one a try. We thoroughly enjoyed our four day stay and found everything great. It is an all inclusive resort and the food was very good, with a varied and plentiful menu. Drinks are available throughout the majority of the day although if you want premium brands you pay a little extra. We stayed in a village room and this was first class. Large bedrooms with a large bathroom with bath and a walk in shower. Cannot fault the staff they are so friendly and helpful particularly the restaurant team. There are many activities around to use and can be quite silly but enjoyable. I am not a golfer but the golf course is very highly rated. The shows in the evening are very good with great dancers and quality singers. If pushed I would say the shows in Hopton edged them here but this venue is fairly new and beats the Hopton resort hands down for quality of rooms and bars which had a great ambience and much more pleasant than Hopton. The bowls tournament was well organised and the rinks (five in all) were very good and well maintained. Having only been bowling for less than a year we did not expect to win but really enjoyed the competition and competing against more experienced bowlers. Everyone was so friendly and encouraging. Overall we will be returning to Five Lakes again as it does provide great accommodation, great entertainment and at a good price.

We like 5 Lakes more than Hopton. 8 times to Hopton and twice to 5 Lakes. One lady singer was trying to break the sound barrier but apart from that we were very impressed with the shows. Won some medals. Food excellent. Village room excellent. Staff excellent. See you again when we have saved up some more pennies from our pension.

The staff were really friendly from reception to servers to entertainment staff. The room we had in The Village was large, comfortable and clean. Bed very comfy. The grounds are huge, well maintained and great for safe walks. The shows were West End standard, and the staging really excellent. The food was slightly disappointing in that the menu is pretty restrictive and one or two meals just about warm.|However, bearing in mind this is mass catering it’s ok, mainly tasty and enough of it. There is so much to do in and outside, it’s impossible to fit it all in a weekend. Have a look at what’s available on line. Parking can be a bit of an issue if you are based in The Village,so be prepared for a bit of a walk with your cases. All in all an enjoyable weekend that went very quickly.

Entertainment and activities are brilliant but the food is overall average. They have all the ingredients and the menu choices are OK but the end product is generally lacking. I would suggest they need an independent consultant to advise them how to improve. Some Examples: Breakfast was the best meal. Lunch:beef burger had the appearance and consistency of an ice hockey puck. Dinner: roast potatoes appeared to be boiled and put in the oven for 5 minutes - very poor. I could go on but for the price they are charging I would expect a higher standard.

As usual wonderful visit. Food, entertainment, all staff including kitchen, waiting staff, etc. give first class service. Nothing like a Potters Resort holiday to guarantee fun and great food and entertainment. We always enjoy ourselves and are already looking forward to our next visit.

Very disappointed- the resort was on special measures for norovirus and they did not inform us in advance. Had we known we probably would have cancelled. Food was served and not help yourself buffet. As a result service was slow and the portions were stingy. Shop was shut. Pool shut early so missed using it. Jacuzzi not open. Staff didn’t turn up for a relaxation session. We didn’t get to use karts on one day as they had cancelled last minute. Queued for 40mins one day to use the VR. Foot ritual in spa not worth the money. Poor communication. On last day couldn’t use facilities as they were cleaning it. On plus side liked the craft sessions and the shows. Not good value for money. Five ponds not lakes. Warners much better option.
