Waldo Stadium

Visited as a neutral watcher. Fans were really nice. Great atmosphere with the band. Overall, it was a nice stadium.

Waldo Stadium, Home of the Western Michigan Broncos Football team! This is quite the venue, a smaller stadium compared to The Big House or Spartan Stadium, but they pack this place on GameDay, and the students are just as rowdy as their cross state competition! Not a bad seat in the house, food and drink are reasonably priced. Parking is ample and readily available! Take care when it rains, this stadium has a history of turning into a man made lake when it's a heavy rain!

Hardly a bad seat in the house. Sound system could be upgraded slightly: lots of distortion due to overdriving the speakers. Not louder, clearer. Need to make better, more consistent use of the big screens for replays. Band is very, very good. They truly are the spirit of the stadium. Very active. Sound great. They also need to get concessions figured out. Way understaffed. Even with my "concerns," I enjoyed myself far more at Waldo Stadium than I have in my recent visits to Spartan Stadium and UofM stadium. Waldo Stadium offers a nice, very affordable, enjoyable experience for those who enjoy all that college football has to offer.

Really cool stadium! I went in under the impression that the stadium was small and not going to be very loud. When the game started I was shocked at how loud the fans were as well as how big it looks from the inside. My favorite thing about Waldo is how close the stands are to the field. You can see everything and even hear a lot as well. This makes for some really fun football games! When the weather starts to get colder I do notice a drop off in attendance but the games are still enjoyable.

Ticket prices are too high for an empty stadium, and they ask an absurd amount of money for bad food choices. When you see how many different uniforms the team has ... it starts to make sense. UPDATE: I noticed the difference at the WMU hockey game, and I've noticed the difference at the WMU football games. The difference is alcohol sales. We've always had drinks when we tailgate or participate in the Communiversity events, but there was a noticeably worse crowd at both venues since they started selling alcohol at the games. However, $12 a beer means much more than my 30+ years of season tickets.

Was just driving by so didn't really get a great look at it but it was nice for what I saw from the high way, my wife and I wanted to see the stadium and that's what we did!

Had a great time at Waldo Stadium, but, it is time for some upgrades. The urinals are the old horse trough type, it, and the concessions, are on one side of the stadium. I think the view is probably good from any seat in the house.

Nice stadium. Check your tickets against the seating chart so that you go in the right gate. Also check the website for items allowed thru security. Note; umbrellas are not allowed
