A hidden gem, food is excellent, cooked to order and fresh, staff are very friendly, welcoming and fast to serve, sitting on the side of the river with tables outside to watch the world go by, it has the oldest chain ferry to take you to the other side, it also has a camping site, beautiful place in the summer

Lovely place to visit. Was warm and comfortable. Steak pie was great. Bass fish with Olives and potatoes was a bit strange. Very acquired taste. Lovely place to go for a walk, and ferry ride was enjoyable and very swift both ways.

Another gem worth a visit

Reedham Ferry provided a much-needed shortcut on our journey back to Suffolk, saving us valuable time compared to the longer routes via Norwich or Lowestoft. The loading process was efficient, and even with a few cars ahead of us, we were across the river within 15 minutes. The convenient car park on one side allowed us to wait for other travelers in our group. The ferry operators were friendly and helpful, and the fee was reasonable considering the time and distance saved. While Reedham Ferry is a valuable asset to the local community, it's worth noting that a bridge would provide a more convenient and efficient crossing, especially during peak times. A bridge would eliminate the need for waiting and loading, allowing for a seamless flow of traffic. However, until that becomes a reality, Reedham Ferry remains a reliable and efficient way to cross the River Yare.

Very difficult to get off ferry in wet weather. Must exit ramp slowly but at that angle the car bonnet hid the view and the car slipped backwards... Take it too fast and might cause damage to the underside.
