Slightly different place to visit, it has the historical asptand the jewellery part, it is interesting to see and learn about the history. The jewellery looks Fabulous and some lovely pieces, outside you can pan for gold and there are nice ga rdens, there is a café, the food and menu looks nice, plus a couple of other shops things to do, there's a nice walk near by, plus it's free to enter and is dog friendly.

Cornwall Gold and Tolgus Mill is a fantastic family-friendly destination! Entry, parking, and the museum are all free, with donations welcomed to support the site. The history display above the entrance walk is engaging and well-explained, offering a great introduction to Cornwall’s tin mining heritage. There’s plenty of outdoor space to roam, and it’s dog-friendly—though we brought our cat, who loved exploring too! The gold panning pit with sand sieves is a fun, free activity for all ages, and the pottery painting station is a creative hit. The Cornish Pantry restaurant serves tasty food, but it feels a bit small for the venue’s size, so expect longer waits during peak times. Overall, a brilliant spot for a family day out—we’ll be back!

Fantastic free museum (and free parking) was perfect for a rainy morning. Would have liked a larger museum section as it was so interesting! Cafe was very busy despite car park being only 10% full so I expect it can get very competitive for a table. Tasty cream tea!

I learned so much about Cornish mining history here. There is real pride which is beautiful to see. The gold panning is lovely. The mill is brilliant and the grounds are beautiful. The staff are friendly and it is a great place to visit with the whole family.

Great destination. Loads of free informative displays relating to Cornish tin mining.Well presented. Lots of shiny gifts if needed! Cafe brilliant-Cornish brekky on a shovel.(other food availiable!). Well dressed for Xmas-tastefully. Good walk,flat, to Portreath. Other outlets on site. Big free car park. Excellent day

Lovely place to visit where children can try to find a diamond 💎 for a small charge. Go gold panning for free. We also did the guided tour with Steve, our tour guide. Steve was very knowledgeable about the milling of tin. There is an onsite café which all looked good and was busy during or trip here. If you're in the area, I would definitely recommend a stoo here.
