Grantham House

We stayed at Grantham House for 16 days this April while our own house was being refurbished in Ryde. It was very comfortable, easygoing and straightforward. Lovely house and garden. Good breakfast and Chris always predicted the foods we ate and liked.. We felt very at home and would definitely recommend it as a place to stay.

It’s a lovely place to be, felt like a home rather than a hotel. The host Chris was so nice, humble & friendly person. He helped us with directions and some tips so that we could cover everything in short time & in best possible way. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a house to stay with family & friends.

Beautiful, character house set in a quiet location just a few minutes stroll from the town centre. Chris was the perfect host, welcoming, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.||Very comfortable bed, lovely garden view from bedroom. The buffet style breakfast was very good. We enjoyed sitting in the beautiful garden. The shared bathroom was not a problem especially as there is a second loo nearby. Would definitely stay there again.

Just returned from a 3 night stay here, The house is a lovely building on a quiet road, it's about a 20min walk from the pier. We arrived and were met by Chris the owner, who was very nice and accommodating. He showed us to our room and bathroom, large rooms and the bathroom stunning! There is no ensuite here, but there are only 3 rooms. The breakfast is a help yourself affair with a good choice of items. There is no cooked breakfast but there are no set times so you can have breakfast at any time, which is really nice, the room is open 24hrs, so if you want something at midnight you can. Our room had a hugh bed in it and it was really comfy. The only thing we missed in the room was a wardrobe, there was only coat hangers hanging on the door. In the bathroom there were every type of toiletries available so you don't need to pack any of these and also decent size towels. Chris was a lovely host and when we return to the island we would stay here again. Just a note, the doors to the bedrooms have no locks so just be aware, but it wasn't a problem for us as we felt secure in our room.

What a lovely little B&B. There are 3 rooms which share a toilet and a large bathroom. This may not be to everyone’s taste, but didn’t give us any issues. The room we stayed in was light and roomy, would have liked a rail to hang clothes but other than that it was perfect. |Breakfast is continental, not cooked but it meant we could eat whenever we wanted. Yes and coffee were available in the front room at any time. |Chris was such a decent guy, helpful with recommendations of where to visit, places to eat and drink etc. |My partner left a top in the bedroom and Chris posted it back to her at his own expense. Great bloke, great place to stop.

Chris was a very accommodating host and made all aspects of our stay relaxing and enjoyable. The house was beautiful as well and perfectly placed to visit the town centre and nearby beach. Will definitely be staying again.
