Holiday Inn Express Swindon West by IHG

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Swindon. The rooms are a little dated, but they are clean and well maintained, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the air conditioning did not cool the room effectively, so we had to open the windows for fresh air. On the plus side, parking is free and very convenient, and the hotel staff were consistently friendly, polite, and helpful. Breakfast was fairly basic, and some items ran out quickly during busy periods. However, the staff were quick to refill them when requested, which was a nice touch. My only small suggestion would be to improve the coffee machine — it uses milk powder, which is sweetened and affects the taste. Fresh milk would make the coffee much better. Overall, a comfortable stay with excellent staff service, though a few updates could make the experience even better.

I had a really great stay at Holiday Inn Express Swindon West and would definitely come back again. From the moment I checked in, everything felt smooth and easy. The staff at the reception were friendly and welcoming, which made a good first impression. The rooms were spotless and well looked after, with cleaning done regularly, so it always felt fresh coming back after a day out. The bed was comfortable and the space had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. Breakfast was honestly one of the highlights. The food was delicious with plenty of choice to suit everyone. Even though the breakfast area was really busy in the mornings, the service was excellent – the waiters and staff handled the rush so well that everything kept moving without stress. They were cheerful, helpful, and made the whole experience enjoyable. What I really appreciated was how organized everything was, even when the hotel was full. It’s the little details like this that make a big difference. The location is also very convenient – right by the M4 – which makes it easy to get around, but still quiet enough to have a good night’s rest. Overall, a clean, comfortable, and well-run hotel with a great team. Definitely staying here again next time I’m in the area.

Great hotel for an overnight stay, conveniently located right next to motorway junction. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room and superb breakfast. Our second visit and would definitely go again if the occasion arises. This time was to attend a funeral and we arrived early but were shown straight to our room by the very helpful receptionist.

Convenient and quiet location with lots of parking. Staff are really friendly and the public area of the hotel looks really professional and welcoming. The room we had was right next to the lifts but we didn’t hear anything (apart from a noisy guest). Not sure if they’re all like it but it was very dated and could do with some renovation to match the experience of other similar hotels. The bed was a standard double, much smaller than the normal size for a hotel and had a very firm mattress. For us, we found it quite uncomfortable, but some might prefer this and we made it work. Breakfast was very busy but this didn’t stop the food being hot, fresh and tasty! If we are in the area again we will be back to this hotel!

Typical budget hotel. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast is always a big plus for Holiday Inn Express. All good with that. Parking was free. Good location for tourist site in the area, stone henge etc. right on the M4 motorway. Close to Wootton Bassett which is worth a visit while staying here. A good enjoyable stay.

I made a impromptu stop at this hotel last night ||The hotel is located close to the Motorway with plenty of parking ||The hotel was busy but perfectly clean and welcoming offering an above average standard at an excellent price of £66.93 B&B ||Breakfast is the standard self service buffet.||Unfortunately on my stay there was a gas leak and in the morning I had to endure a lukewarm breakfast and cold shower. ||I could mark the rating down but frankly this is not the venues fault and in all other aspects the hotel overs considerably more

Stayed here after cancelling premier inn central , this hotel was in such nicer location than the town centre. Staff here were very polite and helpful throughout our weekend stay. Rooms tip top condition, nice and clean with crisp clean white bedding . Fresh clean white towels . Room checked thoroughly by myself not a speck of dust anywhere , so well done to the house maids , excellent work. Breakfast at hotel was also very nice . No trouble with car parking either . Overall experience here very good would stay again if needed to come to Swindon again. However this town very run down sadly .
