Iconic building especially if you’re a pro wrestling fan. Where the infamous Andy Kaufman/Jerry Lawler feud originated. I saw several WCW Monday Nitro shows here in the late 90’s, including the 11-10-97 show the night after the Montreal Screwjob where the show came on the air with the nWo celebrating acquiring Bret Hart. This was the first time the nWo actually beat up Sting too after he came down from the rafters. You look back at the card from that show and wow what a lineup! Lot of history and memories from this place, I really hope they don’t tear it down! Hopefully it could be registered as a historical site or something and kept up.

I'll always be grateful I was able to see some version of Memphis wrestling in the Mid-South Coliseum, even if it was 1994 USWA with just 850 people there. Classic flying saucer design. I wish just one new arena would try something like it.

Man, what a piece of pro wrestling. history! This place is the Taj Mahal of Wrestling venues. Now, unfortunately, abandoned . I wanted to see this coliseum because I live in Ohio but watched Memphis Wrestling every Saturday.

The PA system was terrible. The jumbo screen was ok, but only ok. It was good enough to watch the Iowa State Cyclones beat the home team at the Liberty Bowl. GO CLONES!!

Hey y'all, now this place still makes me smile every time I see or think about those good ole days! Awesome concerts, wrestling, circus...you can pretty much name it and it has happened there. Thanks for the memories.

I have fond memories of this place: concerts, wrestling, and fair ground events. Yet us tax payers (especially those who live in this area of town) pump more dollars into a place that isn't being used at all! I'll say tear it down before mother nature does it herself or have FedEx, Nike or Target buy it and create jobs.

Brought my two kids here… it was okay in my view but they enjoyed themselves. There were enough rides for them to have fun. The food was awful tho.
