The Dial House

We've had a lovely one night stay at The Dial House. Excellent customer service from Lauren, who made sure my gluten free breakfast was available. My husband enjoyed his freshly baked almond croissant from the bakery, taking away the very fat ausage roll for later! I don't know why people complain about the breakfast. It is made quite clear on booking. The bakery staff are very friendly and the coffee was excellent. We only managed to get a drink in the pub, but that was a pleasant experience too. Overall I would highly recommend a stay at The Dial House

Lovely room: large, stylish, clean, modern. Maybe just needs a few more sockets for phone charging etc. Location is perfect. Breakfast in Bread Source worked perfectly for us as we liked the granola, coffee and croissants and didn’t mind no cooked breakfast. Check in was easy and pre-trip comms were good.

Our room, the China room, was as good as the website pictured it, STUNNING. It was spacious, comfortable and well equipped. As was the bathroom, STUNNING. The room had a great view over a pleasant square. A good continental breakfast was available each day, and was very tasty. Check in was so easy, a simple numeric key pad for entrance to the main building and the room.

The Italian Palace room was well presented, clean and luxurious. Our only complaint was that there is a window without curtains/blind so we both woke up at 5am to light filling the room (hopefully an easy fix). The key code entrance was convenient and the room had a decent stock of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. Breakfast at bread sauce was nice enough, though as other reviewers have mentioned, the supply of fruit was poor (an old banana and a few apples). Overall, we really enjoyed our stay; thank you dial house team.

We arrived home from a night away at The Dial House last night and haven't stopped talking about it since! We had seen the hotel recommended in an article on the best places to stay in North Norfolk, took a stab for one night, and it's safe to say we will absolutely be back! We stayed in the Days of Raj room, and it was delightful. The room was very spacious, and the bed was comfortable (definitely on the softer side). The bathroom was beautiful, with a spacious shower and lovely toiletries. ||We had a message a few days before staying, highlighting that the onsite wine bar (run by a separate company) was offering pizza, so we booked for dinner. We weren't expecting too much, what with the location being quite remote, but we had a great dinner sitting out the front of the hotel, with the food and drink being fantastic and reasonably priced. ||We had looked into the breakfast situation beforehand, but even if we hadn't, the staff were very helpful in outlining how it works, and the process was very easy. It's not your traditional B&B breakfast, but we were delighted to find out the bakery was run by Bread Source and true to form, there was a lot on offer and it didn't disappoint! ||The only negative we had was that the room was a loft room, so when the weather is hot (we had the fortune of staying on the hottest day of the year so far), it's incredibly hard to cool down. We were grateful for the fan that had been provided, but it was still warm.

We've just spent a week at The Dial House, in the room "Natural History", and really loved the whole experience. The room has a wonderful private terrace, perfect for quiet reading, or breakfast, or sunbathing (you're not overlooked, if you understand me!) Housekeeping kept us topped up with fruit and water, refreshing milk in the fridge. Great bathroom, lovely walk-in shower. Breakfast is provided by "Bread Source" a Norwich-based bakery now proliferating throughout Norfolk. We found the young folk to be interesting, interested, chatty, and super-helpful. Delicious pastries and savoury options, great tea/coffee, juices etc. PIN entry to the property and room enables you to move freely whenever you wish (no creeping in after a curfew!) We're shocked to read previous comments, that wasn't our experience at all. Congrats to Tom and team for rescuing this beloved hotel, and making it such a quirky delight! R&P xx

The bathroom was excellent and the room lovely. Pretty village. However there is no service as you let yourself in and never see a member of staff. Pretty poor for nearly £200 a night and not a proper breakfast. Again they had an issue with the front door as we returned at 9.30pm and we couldn't get in. Their whatsapp messaging closes at 9pm. Luckily we managed to rouse another guest. Not ideal !|Do not go here if you cannot eat gluten as the upmarket bakery where you get your "breakfast" does not have any gluten free products. |If you want to bring your dog it is £20 a night even though the floors are wooden. |The place could be 5 stars if there was a sort of reception to greet you and they provided a better breakfast. It would also be nice if you didn't have to pay the total bill upfront before even seeing your room or encountering any hiccups.

Absolutely lovely stay at The Dial House. We stayed in the Natural History room it was superb, bi folding doors opening to a perfect size courtyard where we ate our breakfast,large bathroom,fantastic shower, towels large and soft. Great super king bed with white bedding. Breakfast from the inside bakery was great,best sausage rolls & cheese straws I’ve eaten in long time,staff helpful & friendly. Can’t recommend a stay here enough.
