Tor View Cottage Holidays

Just had a 3 night break with my dog in Hosta House. The property was clean and tidy and was the perfect place to wind down and relax. The bed is comfortable, the walk in shower is huge and the kitchen have every utensil you could think of. Tor View Cottages are the perfect base for you to explore Cornwall. As well as the local area, we visited Newquay, Bude and Bodmin and we will most definitely be back again. Thank you Teresa and family for being excellent hosts!!

So yes, the view is stunning. But the bed was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in. The sofa wasn't much better. Milk and a pack of biscuits is nice but there was no oil or pepper and the pans are all so scratched they're barely useable. Shower is amazing but it sets off the smoke alarm every time it's used. Hot tub was also amazing but I feel like it's a luxury when the basics are not taken care of. There were no checks to see how we were enjoying our stay. And when we did ask a question we were told that they weren't there so couldn't help.

Our 4th time to Tor View. Cottages always spotless. All well equipped. Lovely setting. |An ideal place for peace and quiet.|There’s a hot tub for visitors use as well as a small lake. Great assortment of fishing tackle so you don’t need to bring your own. You won’t break any records but pleasant fishing for a couple of hours. Pitch and putt course as well.|Great place for dogs too.

This was our first visit to Tor View Cottages and what a find! The owners were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in The Old Workshop and it was clean and comfortable. Covid-19 deep cleaning was apparent with plenty of sanitisers and cleaning equipment available. The grounds were immaculate and great views of the countryside. The hot tub was clean and again sanitiser was on hand to clean before and after use. Fishing on the lake was excellent and plenty of equipment in shed if you hadn't bought any with you and just fancied having a go and the golf was good fun too! Although in a very quiet location, the coast was easy to drive to either to the north or south. We would definitely recommend a visit and would love to return in the future. Many thanks

Hosta House:||Bedroom - Had plug sockets where you wanted them, the radiator was off and the windows were open which we had asked for.||The bed was comfy, and there were more than sufficient enough towels and cupboards. The TV was a nice touch.||||Bathroom- The shower is probably better than our one at home, more than sufficient enough towels, and handy shower grips if you need them. Plenty of hooks for clothing too.||||Living area/kitchen open plan: There were more than enough cutlery/crockery/utensils/cooking equipment, great microwave, oven and hob, Kettle and Toaster.||The fridge had some unopened fresh milk in for us, and there was a packet of biccies on the side.||A table and two chairs, plus a two seater sofa made it feel very homely.||||There was a utility cupboard for us to put coats shoes etc in.||Spare paper towel/spray was a plenty.||We did not use the hot tub, but we’re told we could do.||The view of the Tor is great, and we shall look forward to our next stay!

We have just spent 5 days in the Dairy Cottage and it had everything we needed to make it a home from home for the three of us (2 adults 1 child). It was lovely and clean, plenty of equipment for cooking and lots of towels. There was plenty of things to keep us entertained on sight such as the hot tub, that we used several times, the pitch and putt, fishing lake and a football goal and ball which kept our 10 year old happy. There were games, dvds and books in the cottages also.||Theresa gave us a warm welcome and we are so glad we found her property on AirBnB. The views on Helman Tor and surrounding countryside were stunning and we loved how quiet it was. We would love to come back again one day.||These holiday cottages are in a great location to explore Cornwell. We visited Bodmin Jail, Polkerris Beach, the Eden Project and Fowey all within a 30 min drive and would recommend all of those.

Just returned from a week’s stay in The Dairy Cottage. We would highly recommend the cottage, cosy, immaculately clean and big enough for a family of four. Hosts were fantastic, welcoming and very accommodating. The hot tub was a lovely bonus as was the fishing pond, golf and football goal. The laundrette was also very useful. Very peaceful setting with wonderful views. Padstow, Newquay, Fowey, Looe and more all within easy travelling distance. Cottage extremely well sticked with everything you could wish for. As for faults .... time goes too quick. Thanks for a lovely week.

A great place run by lovely, helpful people. The accommodation is well laid out with everything you need and priced very reasonably. It was lovely to arrive to find a little welcome of fresh milk and biscuits as well as a stock of tea, coffee, salt and pepper. Plenty of towels and a comfy sofa..rare in holiday lets where looks often beat comfort.
