Stover Hall

I recently visited Stover Hall for the first time. They have been open for weddings and events for 10 years. But last year they partnered with DuCard vineyards to become a remote tasting room. They offer 4 wines for tasting or purchase by glass or by bottle. The facility is beautiful and the owners Wes and Christina are incredibly nice. They have love locks hanging from their walls to designate the many weddings they have hosted. And then as those couples have children they have returned to add little mini locks to their lock. It is a cute idea. We talked about some additional ideas they are working on. One is to bring cider in as well to allow other opportunities for their guests to enjoy. The views outside of the mountains are beautiful. This is definitely a nice place to stop and hang out for awhile.

The Grieves’ work and dedication to creating such a beautiful venue and atmosphere is incredible and evident! We even hired Christina Grieves as our day of wedding planner and it was amazing to get to know and work with her and her husband! They are so friendly, understanding, accommodating and supportive with their suggestions! They work so hard to bring your vision to life and even exceed the expectations! They take the stress off of you as a bride and believe in making it YOUR day not anyone else’s. Events here are top notch with the mountains in the back and a beautiful barn set up with a great team who’s got your back. They are punctual, great with communication and personable. They will get the job done and will take pride in doing so. Worth every penny even though reasonably priced compared to surrounding areas with the best service and quality friendly people! We loved working with Stover hall!

We stopped by for a wine tasting during our honeymoon, and fell in love with the location and wines!! The property is nestled in the valley below Shenandoah national park - we spent the afternoon sipping wines and looking out at the mountains. The owners were lovely as well, and had recommendations for local things to do!Highly recommend to make a part of your trip to Luray

My wife and I wandered in here a few days ago for a wine tasting. Heard about the place from a Facebook group. We were the only customers there at the time and the owner really engaged with us. She asked about our plans for our stay and filled us in on some recommendations, which we used. The wines were great. Left with a bottle. The place is a wedding venue but offers so much more. The wine tasting, an Air B&B, and a host of other events on any given night. We thank you for your generosity during our stay.

Tasting Room is wonderful! Property is perfect to enjoy wine and have the kids run around on. An absolute must if you’re in the area!

Christine and Wes definitely have the gift of hospitality. We stopped by on our anniversary weekend and found them to be attentive and generous. We felt cared for and special. Thank you and good job. Awesome experience!

Unlike most venues that nickel and dime you for everything (we saw 1 place that wanted to charge per chair), their pricing is upfront, clear, and doesn't have any surprises with plenty included. Obviously the location is beautiful and even if it rains you still get the mountain views from inside the event space. They have an awesome set up for the bride and bridesmaids to get ready in the main house with great lighting. We loved having our direct family able to sleep onsite. The event space is awesome with a separate dining area for mingling and a bar/dance area for dancing and music. I cannot recommend this venue enough.Amazing venue!
