We decided at the last minute to attend the Air Show in Oshkosh and couldn't find a room except in Berlin at the Riverside Motel. The pictures online look nice; new tile, clean beds, etc. but they are very misleading. There is an odor in the rooms. We pulled back the covers and there was long hair on the pillows. We could not sleep on the sheets and slept in our clothes. The carpet was dirty and had multiple cigarette burns on it. There was long hair on the shower walls. I kept my sandals on while walking around, however my husband's feet were black from walking on the carpet and bathroom floor. The ceiling tiles by the door are ready to fall in. ||||On a positive note, the motel is very cute and well taken care of on the outside. There are tables and chairs outside your door. The lady at the front desk was kind and another employee was helpful in letting us pick from three rooms available. Two of the rooms we looked at had showers that looked like they had mold. We picked the best of the worst rooms available! Honestly, it may have been a better option for us to sleep in our car. ||||The employees were out bright and early the next morning mowing and using a loud gas blower. Perhaps they could devote some of their time and resources into getting the rooms up to standard, one room at a time.

My husband and I stayed at the Riverside Motel for almost a month while we were waiting for our new homes construction to be completed. We enjoyed our time there very much, the owners and staff were quite pleasant and helpful. My husband spent a lot of his free time fishing on the dock...which was, I admit very nice. I would recommend this affordable retreat by the Fox River to everyone.

I need to do a review for the Riverside Motel so you know what you’re getting into, and to be fair because this hotel/motel met my needs. The Motel isn’t perfect, it’s not a Holiday Inn, doesn’t have room service, but the owner (presumably the woman who checked us in) seems to be a very pleasant person.||||We needed to be in Oshkosh, WI for a training course over a weekend. Turns out its one of the busiest weekends in town do to a country music concert. Nonetheless, every hotel was sold out. Staying in Berlin was not our intention. But we found an available room at the Riverside Motel. And checked in late on aFriday night.||||I requested room 19, because another reviewer stated that was the nicest room. Which may be the case. The room has to beds, coffee maker, micro and small fridge that served its purpose. The bathroom was clean and suffice until I went to take a shower and noticed the shower only had one door…? Yes, one door. Simple enough just place a towel over the top bar and shower, no biggie. Now the shower head is decent especially if your only 5’5”. LOL…and the water goes from warm to scalding hot. However, that said…I needed a shower, and it all worked out great.||||The cleaning team did come in and clean while we were out and replaced all used towels with new ones. The beds aren’t luxury, but sufficient enough for decent nights sleep.||||What it comes down too is that if you’re in town, or can’t get a hotel “in town” I wouldn’t turn away from the Riverside. It is what it is, but what it is, it isn’t horrible. It’s comfortable, affordable, and a decent deal for what it’ll cost you.

The first month was alright. Bathroom small. The second month stuff started disappearing from my room. Said something to the owner everything reappeared (except my prescription) to place I can’t physically reach. Harassed me over leaving the A/C on. Left note on stating It needed to stay on due to my breathing condition but would come into my room multiple times a day to shut it off. Last straw the housekeeper came to my room yelling at me. Told her to stop yelling or leave. She kept yelling so when I started to close the door she pushed her way into my room violating my rights and property. Know one deserves to be treated that way. Tried to tell me I broke all there rules. Didn’t post them in my room until she forced her way in. Looked at them only broke two of them.

No heat in mid september. Thermostat on wall was merely a decoration. No coffee. No internet. Lumpy worn mattress. No cable tv. Pretty much a run down dump. Appeared to have at least a couple semi permanent guests. One of the worst motels you'll encounter.

We were in Berlin for one night. Didn't want an expensive room since we had plans and only needed somewhere to sleep.|Booked Riverside Motel on a suggestion from a local gas station.|It was a no frills motel right on the river. The room had 2 beds, TV, A/C, Fridge, Ceiling Fan and stand up shower.|It was clean and comfortable. |Would stay again.

Not the best hotel experience... The shower had a stone floor, but the stones had not been fully sanded/polished and were very painful to stand on. The best left us with sore backs and necks. The room was fairly clean and quiet on a good note.

I rate 5 stars on price. I stay there every year for the EAA Air Show. Beds are not modern and mattresses leave something to be desired. Just an inexpensive place to stay. Clean and by the Fox River.
