Had a brilliant experience on the Deathly Dark tour! Me and my family had a little holiday in Yorkshire and really wanted to go on a ghost tour. We ended up with Dante as our tour guide and he was incredible! We couldn’t understand how he’d managed to learn all the information and put on such a great performance, not slipping up once. Mindblown! It was a perfect mix of slightly scary but also funny. Would definitely recommend! 🙌

What a fantastic experience exploring some of the dark histories and tales of York. Despite the good old Yorkshire weather, which is to be expected on a January evening, Dante our tour guide was extremely entertaining and a lot of effort has been put into this. I took my 2 daughters and my partner and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Would recommend for a fun evening exploring the most haunted city in England!

I had an absolutely amazing tour with Davina, from the meeting point to the very end she was on point. She was knowledgeable with a dry sense of humour. I've been on several Deathly Dark tours and each one is different and unique. I fully intend to book in again because I want to experience each guide at least once!

I wasn't sure about (1) taking a ghost tour at all, and (2) picking this tour in particular. There are many ghost tours in York, the research was a little overwhelm, and they are quite "touristy" (I think, some more than others), but I decided to give it a chance (honestly, I was going to pick another tour but it was full, so this was my second choice: you see, it's hard to choose without knowing how the experience really is, and some opinions can confuse you more than guide you about it). And I have to say that my doubts were drawn and killed (?) in a performative storytelling, dark jokes and interesting and some disturbing facts about York. Davine Deathly was quite a character, very funny and yet intensely obscure, with a good flow and group management. I will definitely recommend this tour to anyone who likes good stories about horror, supernatural and stuff like that.

We've now done two ghost walks in York with Deathly Dark Tours, and they've both been absolutely fantastic! Our first was back in March with Dorian Deathly, and the second was today with Dalton Deathly. Both tours were completely immersive, full of spooky energy, and brought the haunted history of York vividly to life. Each guide had their own unique style, but both were brilliant storytellers who kept us hooked from start to finish mixing spine-chilling tales with just the right amount of humour and drama. Even our 8-year-old was captivated the whole way through (and is still talking about it hours later!). We can't recommend Deathly Dark Tours enough. Whether you're a local or a visitor, this is a must-do experience in York. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I finally got the opportunity to go on one of the Deathly Dark tours of York last night. I first discovered Dorian during lockdown, when he and Mrs Deathly did some virtual tours, which I watched multiple times, so it was a nice surprise that Dorian was one of our guides last night, along with Dalton. I was not disappointed, they were both engaging, entertaining and informative. I appreciated their dark humour as well. I look forward to attending another one of the tours next time I’m in York, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. Thank you for a great experience!

Had the most wonderful tour with Dalton on a cold dark Saturday 25th in January. Not a huge believer in ghosts myself but that didn't matter as the stories, told expressively and in detail by Dalton, drew me in each time. Went with a group of friends who also very much enjoyed the ghost tales. The following day we visited the 'Antique Shop' where my wife, who is much more sensitive to the spiritual plane than I, experienced a presence and tingling...Who am I to contest against that!! Go, but in the dark and you'll enjoy it more with the heightened drama that night brings. But dress for the conditions and enjoy being captivated by the excellent and theatrical story telling. Fun even if Ghosts are not your thing. Great fun.
